Hiphopduon Medina firade stora framgångar på 00-talet. Efter 13 år tillsammans lade de ner och träffade inte varandra på fyra år, men i Melodifestivalen 2022 gjorde de comeback. Bidraget "In i dimman" nådde en tredjeplats i finalen.
Medina har i dag över 350 miljoner strömningar och har haft hittar som ”Miss Decibel”, ”Där palmerna bor”, ”Sista minuten” och ”In i dimman”.
2023 firade Medina 20 år och släppte fullängdsalbumet Tropicalisera.
De kallar sin genre för ”haffla music”, vilket beskrivs som en blandning av reggaeton, hiphop, rai, house, pop och dancehall. Haffla betyder 'fest' på arabiska.
I Melodifestivalen 2022 tävlade duon också som låtskrivare till LIAMOO:s bidrag "Bluffin". Sami hade tävlat flera gånger tidigare, inte minst 2021, i duon WAHL feat. SAMI med bidraget "90-talet".
Budskapet i ”Que sera” är att acceptera det som sker och leva fullt ut. Que sera, sera är ett populärt spanskt uttryck som betyder 'vad som än blir, blir'. Detta avser att omfamna framtiden och acceptera att vissa saker står utanför den enskildes kontroll.
