I feel there is a logical explanation ,I keep thinking that the strategy is more to do with the angle of play and that every angle must have a logical response. I lose just about every time. I hope somehow I develop an eye to see the oppositions next move.

I'm learning a lot and winning most games. In this video, regarding #8 Opposition, I just didn't "get it". I watched three times and the concept just didn't click with me. Thanks for doing these clips!

Knowing whether you have the opposition in very important in the end game. If you have the opposition with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 checkers each it guarantees you the win, because you will have the last move when all the checkers are faced off and your opponent will self destruct. If you don't have the opposition, then you can change it by exchanging a checker for the win. Most beginners to advance players don't realize how important knowing whether they have the opposition or not and lose because their more experienced opponent makes sure they have the opposition. Just make sure that the checkers in your back row columns are an odd number. This means you have the opposition.
