That’s right, Grandpa never attended highschool. So he’s not familiar with the student life. Trying to act like that typical lovey dovey student couple is so new to him.

Respect to the voice actors, every time the grandpa and grandma talk to each other I always notice their speech (wording choice? dialect?) being a bit different to what I’m used to hearing.
I know they might have handpicked the VAs for an anime like this, and maybe that’s literally just how old people talk in Japan, but still, I think it’s cool

This is a really cool concept. I've had dreams of meeting my grandparents when they were younger.
What's is weird for me is the age of unparalleled recording we live in now. Before we would see photographs and ask our parents/grandparents for details aboit what they were like, maybe if you were lucky a couple home videos at a major family event or something.
Now we have people recording themselves for personal blogs, or trying out skits, or trying to do dumb things, or whatever and putting it on social media from incredibly young ages.
Heck, some have careers as youtubers/streamers.
So imagine being a kid and being able to just watch your grandparent do some Lets Plays or something

Yeah the pacing might be weird to non-manga readers (they turned young within the first 5 minutes of EP 1) but I guess it's fine too since they didn't include fillers and adapted the manga as faithfully as possible
