Melveen was my favorite female entertainer in hawaii. Favorite comedian was Frank De Lima and favorite group was Cecilio & Kapono, This was in the 1970's when i lived on Maui.
I really love her. Beautiful voice. She came to our Halau when it was in Cupertino, CA and sang for us and taugh us a dance. That was a pretty awesome class. Our Kumu always did and does wonderful things for her students.
Whenever I am missing a loved one who has passed, Melveen's voice brings them closer to me. Thank you for your kindess and God given voice.
