Nice review of the Ninja 650 2025. I like the bold orange color there to stand out. My '21 is going great with 10,000+ miles I've put on it so far. Great bike, and with a gentle throttle, I can go a distance of 233 miles (average 225 miles) range if I average 60 mpg on the 4.0 gallon tank, setting the trip meter to 000 to 225 average. If I race the bike with faster acceleration and speed, it might only get 175 to 200 miles range. This bike is great for public roads, and you make good points that unless someone wants to race and beat all the other bikes, a Ninja 650 is fine for public roads versus the much more powerful bikes that are meant for a racetrack and drink fuel much faster. It's not a race track out on the public roads so it's okay to not have the most powerful, fasted bike. There will always be a faster bike. Very comfortable, easy to maintain, fun motorcycle here. 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds if that's one's goal. With a gentle take off, it'll spare the tire treads and fuel rather than launching like a rocket each time. Over 22 years riding Kawasaki bikes, they're a reliable, fun brand. Nice review!
I always value your opinions Peter. I hope to be able to trade my Z400 for the Ninja 650 this year sometime. Hope its a good upgrade for me. I like this and the Triumph Trident 660. Kawasaki has always been good to me though. Even with my dirtbikes.
I do think if Kawi made the engine sound better they would sell a lot more. Aside from the noise, it's quite torquey and fun and better use for street.
Hey Peter, I noticed it appears the purple paint appears to have a glossy sparkle (glitter) to it. Can you confirm if there is also a sparkle (glitter) included in the orange or if it is just plain? The orange does appear to be glossy but I can't tell from the video if it has sparkle as well.
Thanks for a great bike. This is a lovely looking bike especially in that green. Dont a fan of the KTM Orange 😉. The only thing that holds me back is the sound of that engine. Its not about bragging its just about emotion. Still the Kawa makes the best looking bike out there. Its so sad that Kawa puts their energi in all the inline 4 machines with all theese RRRRRR. Cant care less. Just want an affordable comfy sportbike around 600-800cc. Im willing to pay a little bit more(not inline4 Prices) if Kawa upgrade that engine. Theres not many bikes out there in this price segment except for Suzuki Gsx8r and it sounds better and the lovely Daytona 660. Dont give a shit if its not a real Daytona looks ok but that triple is so great and the sound is amazing. The Gsx8r looks bad at the front but other than that its so comfy. And looking forward to the new cfmoto 675 sportsbike. But the Kawa looks the best but its hard because of that engine sound 🥲
I am a fan of Kawasaki and love the looks...but realy they should upgrade the engine.... Bcs the Suzuki gsx-8r is just better and mainly because of the engine ... And i would put a V-twin inside the Kawasaki 😅 and last...the Engine sound of this Kaw engine is just meh
Peter has the best bike reviews. Very informative

Suzuki might be my favorite brand, but Kawasaki has some of the best looking bikes! That orange and black on the fairings goes hard!

I guess the engine sound doesn't bother me much, or more specifically, some of the competition's engine noise doesn't impress me all that much.
I bought a ‘25 in metallic black for myself for Christmas!
They can always bore this engine out, make more top end, lower the handlebars, upside down forks.
Nice 👌

Hi Peter - I have a brother in law who'd loke that!
