I’m a Liverpool fan and I watched this live with my dad and it was an absolute disgrace. Luis Diaz wasn’t even on the same line as the Tottenham defender. This was very frustrating and still will impact Liverpool this whole season. Yes, we’ve lost twice in 3 games but that game was awful.
Curtis Jones shouldn’t have gotten a red card because he didn’t try to foul the player. As you can see he slipped on the ball and his foot rolled over it and made contact with the player.
Diogo Jota shouldn’t have gotten a red card because as you can see in the video, the Tottenham player literally tripped himself in the back of his leg.
Me and my dad have been saying all season that the refs and var have been against us this whole season (Atleast it seems like it)
Salah got a yellow because he made contact with a player. And let me remind you how this isn’t even the first time Salah has been going for the ball 1 on 1 with the defender and getting a foul/yellow card given.
And yes other comments have given examples of other leagues have this same problem of horrendous calls. All of the leagues are getting corrupted by illiterate idiots. Also, this is in every single sport in the world. Yes I know refs won’t call anything and that they aren’t perfect. But this game was straight garbage. The refs also don’t even get a strict punishment and EFL/EPL don’t even do anything about this.
