@netsu17 honestly I got Nins as number one which will never change unless she gets nerf as for Drag and Yoshi equal as string but jin is slightly more rounder you see more Drag and yoshi because they are just more simple I'm terms of efficiency jin has everything he needs to compete and better panic options/homing moves then Drag regardless of order Nina is number 1 and everybody agrees top 5 goes to Nina Drag , yoshi , jin and Feng the order doesn't matter so long as Nina is first on the list but most people didn't watch the full video to see why jin is in the same bracket as the top row
@netsu17 also that's a poor argument considering we all agree Akuma was the best character I'm 7 despite only two or 3 pro players using him yet none of those plsyers came close to the results of Arslan ash or Knee who were the best T 7 players tekken will always be more of a player vs player match rather then characters to a point
Dam this List hits different after TWT HUH?😂 Shout outs to Keisuke , CBM and NOEL for Show casing why I have those characters as high and Congratulations to Ranchu for Winning TWT! 🎉
As a Claudio main i would love to hear your point of view on the character as a lot of people have him top 10 to top 15. I personally may think he is overrated due to ease of use but his damage is very high. His lows while poor compliment the character at the wall which is key to his identity as a character. A lot will point to wr2, uf4, db1+2 and b1. My personal thoughts, uf4 very evasive high and low but i think Shaheens hopkick is almost as evasive and unlike Claudio's has decent tracking. wr2, amazing move but i think it's fine as is and is part of his identity, db1+2 is definitely and incredible move evades highs at 17 frames and -2 with starburst or heat, but toning it down is tricky thing as f1+21+2 also goes under highs at 16 frames 1 frame faster but is -9 on block so if some of the critics were listened to and the move was made -9 it would essentially render the move pretty pointless and -5 would be the worst i think that can be done to it. B1 i think he needs a mid like this at -5 as so many of his key strings end in a duckable high and his wall game is part of the characters identity that this move is so to wall, nerfing such a move would damage the direction the character was intended. So I am keen to hear your thoughts on this.
The character is solid outside of his lows which on stream im scared to death to do a low with him since db 3 4 is 0 on hit even counter being low high which one good read will have you loose half health just to a low that gives no frame advantage, db3 which is useless against players with decent reactions which forces us to use side step 4 his best low and safest low but can't be too predictable with and im this game you need a solid plus on hit low thats not seeable with how agressive t8 is he does shine in a ft 2 format which is good for tournaments but definitely plays off momentum, timing (especially with db 1+2 with Starburst to get a solid safe high crush launcher) but all in all it can be tuff to open up players with good defense and patience but not impossible and his pokes arnt the best he needs to make the oppent care about wr 2 so he can play his run up b1 game to get in damage but all around hes solid but i couldn't place him any higher because of this
Man you are so on point with it. I am literally of the same opinion that if they nerf his db 1+2 he basically loses so much. That move must not be touched since it is a substitute to d 22 I guess.
Very solid well and thought out tier list bro. Compared to most that I see. Pretty much agreed with every placement As a shaheen & raven player I’d put Raven a little bit higher than most ppl would in tier lists. Maybe might have to do that understand him really well & he can do a lot that alot of the cast can’t do. It’s just up to pilot And with shaheen’s slide I still think law’s is the strongest slide since it comes out way too fast, tracks too well & its kinda unseeable imo I will admit that shaheen has the best slide mind game since he has a lot of ways he can mix it up & avenues that he can threaten you with it but despite that strength I still feel like it’s obvious & fair to interact with imo
@@versatilelord8893 thanks so much I normally hate making tier list because no matter who makes it even if it's the best player people give emotional responses towards tier list based only on their own personal experiences with characters like a bad kazuya player thinking kaz should be lower due to execution and loosing alot with a character rather than thinking of what is possible with the character at the highest level which is I went into depth with why I out Asuka as high as I did, I play 88 percent of the cast which is why my friends told me to one since I'm not biased and don't main characters I have alot of match up experience and I'm able to remove my biases from critiquing a character and I'm a lab monster I placed Asuka high since she has options to punish safe lows from ling that no other character can do but her, somebody said if jin was that good more pros would play jin (despite alot of jins being at twt this week ) which is a weak argument because Akuma was hands down the best character in t7 yet only 3 pro players played him and none of em were Ash or Knee who were the 2 best tekken players for t7 yet neither played Akuma and we all agree Nina is HER in t8 yet there's not that many Nina players overall in high level or low level play I like to take everything into consideration when making a tier list in tekken since I play all the characters (majority) appreciate the positive feedback and even disagreeing with my placement on raven without flaming me really appreciate it!
@@versatilelord8893 yes I was considering how good raven is in heat but keep in mind I base it off a ft2/ft3 format and how strong a character is with/without heat and most agree raven is not strong outside of heat but is very tricky to deal with once he pops it but being stronger without heat makes me rank characters higher especially since heat will probably get nerfed slightly in the future ( hopefully ) which is why I have Lee higher then Ash because I value how well a character can player "Tekken " not just tekken 8 but lol I got flamed hard for my Kazuya placement in the comments but shout outs to Keisuke and Cbm for show casing why I have those mishimas so high on my list!
@ I wouldn’t sweat those ppl bro lol Tekken “community” doesn’t feel like a real community to me. It feels like mainly the Mishimas & Bryan elistist cult, the hworang, kings, Steve, waifu fanclub & then everyone else lol
@ I actually think raven is very solid w/out heat b/c he’s really fast, has excellent lows, really good oki, solid pokes, he can whiff punish from any range, good crouch punishes & really good keepout. And he has access to one of the best parries in the game. One frame reversal that parries everything. Throws, low, mid, high. This is super valuable to have in a game like tekken 8 where you face a lot of pressure & keeps you alive to interact again. The last thing you want is to give Raven another chance to interact & mix you up since he’s a mix up machine. If you master this thing it’s godlike imo What holds him back tho is that his tracking is awful in all areas. Including his homing moves. Standing, bt, & sz. And he’s risking his life everytime he goes for any mix & he’s very punishable in a lot of things. Honestly just thinking about it he might be one of the more balanced characters in the game since his flaws & gaps are quite exploitable & punishable despite all the reasons I believe why he’s really strong lol
I like the Tier list you made it seems fair. I think Alisa, Claudio, Lili and Law could take Steve's spot. Steve doesn't have a low punch game, and one of them is a sure why to get launched if you don't cancel.
@dewsum Steve's whole move list actually complements his low game as I explained in the vid Steve strong tracking and ch moves control the pace of the match at all times, Claudio his lows are horrible aside from side step 4 and dB 43 gives no frame advantage, Lili is great but overplayed she has great pokes decent punishment but her tracking is awful Alisa while being amazing is more reliant on being in heat and chainsaw Alisa outside of that is just okay this list factors in ft2 ft3 playstyles and how strong characters are outside of heat/with heat which is why I have Lee so high be a he is always strong in base despite not having anything different in heat which is why Ash placed him at the bottom I should have gone more in depth about Claudio but I didn't want this video being 2 hours long which is how long the original was
@priincelegiit much respect, I've learned alot from your videos. I was giving my own experience, cause I played Steve for a while and kept getting launched. Lol maybe in the future could you show some Steve gameplay 💯💯
Mostly pretty good, but law and alisa, no shot they aren't S tier, and while Jin is busted, better than yoshi, drag and alisa is crazy work, shouldn't even be in contention with those guys. I'd say Law and Jin are pretty close.
@@TrueReverse74 Alisa outside of heat /chainsaw isn't that as strong when in comparison to the other characters I have up most people rate her high just for chainsaw and the best power crush while I'm heat but she's still a strong character
Man I made a tier list and after I made it, I was surprised to see my own thoughts on paper… I didn’t no know I thought Jin was the best character in the game but I still believe it. His down 2 should be -15 on block.. not - 14…. He’s also good at everything… Yoshi was top ten for me not top 5. His lows are mid… his poke game kind of sucks .. and most importantly, his plus frame moves don’t reward him enough . All he’s got is flash which is is most iconic move. But I actually think shaheens better than him… so is nina and Dragonuv.. people exaggerate how good yoshi is. I also think law is better than yoshi… The hardest decision was choosing whether Jin was #1 or nina for me.. but Jin’s my number one with nina being number 2 . Nina’s also good at everything Also, Lee is really good. He’s A tier
@zer0cx110 I'm glad somebody else sees my view point on the current state of the game I might do one for each season of T8 towards the end of the season I'm looking forward to changes and yes even though jins d2 is reactable part of me wants it to be minus 15 on block since but then jin mains might say then why would they risk d2 over a hellsweep? My argument would be d2 still high crushes unlike Hellsweep, would still give more plus frames on hit and hives a ch launch to still just the use over helsweep if they did make the move minus 15 on block do you agree?
hey bro, cool video and good tier list. I'm a jin main and there is no question he is busted, but I personally don't see jin above yoshi / drag at all. His D2, hellsweep and even db4 if ur a real maniac are reactable, i have matches where i can't use D2 and hellsweep at all, for example against a good kazuya with his 13f punish. i know his neutral plays itself and he has good heat engagers and stuff, ws2 13 frame and so on, but there is no way he is better than drag / yoshi, they're fundamentally broken I'm also not a guy to play this game with f4 and 2,1,4 only, it is possible to play like that with jin and if u think he's better because of that, u might aswell be right, they need to fix that shit
@inyafaze keep in mind this list is based on a ft2 format if it were longer sets jin would behind yoshi and drag his helsweep isn't reactable it's more a predictable timing if it's being blocked alot in a set aside jins parry allowing him to make safe strings unsafe is amazing I should of gone more in depth about jin to be honest, honestly if jin did get substantial nerfs Kazuya would eclipse him
This list is so based outside of 4 placements. No shot that Kazuya is that high. Law and Claudio are severely underrated, especially Claudio. And Lili is not in the same tier as Leroy lol move that lady up.
I can't place Lili any higher she is great but not as strong as what people make her out to be and Kazuya is that high thanks to recent changes and the heat system compliments him more then all other characters outside of the top row since being able to force a 50/50 sequence off a heat engaguer is a big deal on a vortex character like Kazuya and getting access to a safe panic option in heat helps him alot
ive looked at every tier list from every pro and every high mmr player. they all without exception have kazuya that high. kazuya players have always been known to be the biggest downplayers. but if even TMMswe thinks kazuya is insanely strong who notoriously downplays him. there might be something to it. if u cant win with kazuya its 100% a skill issue. there is no excuse
Yes don't fall for the tekken content creators downplaying these characters Kazuya is very strong even with df4 being his fastest 13 frame mid poke he gets so much utility out of heat to better implement his opponent to geuss and Steve dictates the pace of the match by shutting down the opponents ability to side step him while playing a strong "when can I swing against him playstyle" please watch and listen to what I say in the video there is too many people in the tekken community downplaying characters they main/play even pros like Joka Downplays Feng all the time don't fall for it which is why Bryan turned into a meme because of the gaslighting in are community the Bryan = hardest character in the game meme is an example
Shes overall straight up solid character with probably the best heat in terms of how it makes her a walking 50/50 outside of heat ling is honest under the assumption her opponent knows the match up and how to beat aop which i did a video on and her punishment from standing is VERY strong a 12 frame wall splat punish, a ten frame punish into back turn, and a 14 frame launcher standing 3 helps reward her alot more in certain match ups but she is full of good okiezme options off a knock down that can turn the tide fot comeback potential her oki isnt as strong as Kazuya or King or as simple to enforce but still very strong character overall 👏
Steve high S agaagaga .damn what drugs you use ? whats ur rank on him and % winrate? Steve best tracking? Steve bad punishment ?(it's the worst ) do you even played Steve??
@intactoarthur6795 first off Steve is meant to have bad punishment it's his identity second Steve is very underrated I meant to place him behind kazuya tbh but yes Steve has the best tracking he is hard to optimize I'm compassion to other characters but definitely not bad alot of people like to only rate characters based on their own performance and not on a grand scale of what's possible with the character great damage, good heat command grab mix ups, very safe character good tracking mixed with good ch hit tools despite everybody getting their ch nerfed hard besides Bryan look no further then the Pakistani Steve players this list is not for online but a ft2 to ft3 format with each character being played by character specialist like how Jod is character specialist for Nina and a pro player on top of that not everyone will agree and that's fine since tier list are subjective but the top , bottom and decent rows are very accurate feel free to order those rows from ur viewpoint as a player but the S and A tier rows I knew would have mixed feelings with the community
@priincelegiit im sorry ,but all your arguments are really shit , first of all you didn't answer my question about your Steve, second don't judje Steve basing on Numah and Heera Malik ,going futher. Steve have no lows,no punishment,no 15 f launcher , his moves tracking really poor , everything ducks , everything steps ,df2 nerfed ,b2 nerfed , everything besides jabs and df1 are punishable ,ok not only that but that's key moves ,which you can duck , putting Steve above king ,who have better Ch ,or Ling Xiaomi or tonn of other characters is insane,ur Steve ranking based on nothing or on Heera Malik perfonance ,which is 0.0000001 of all
@Ozcaty she's very slept on and if an Asuka player is a lab rat with high match up knowledge on what's strings each character ends with kicks, punches and lows she can launch punish safe moves with ease not many players aside from Fergus are optimizing her at the end of the day at the highest level it's player vs player people need to rember that I explained in the video why she was placed this high I'm crazy into match up knowledge and frames Asuka has better tools then Claudio in a ft2 format especially since Claudio has horrible lows and Asuka can tsubaki alot of Reinas options making her think twice
Anything you disagree with in terms of placement let me know who should come down or up a bit also keep in mind this list is based on ft2- ft3 format with maximum efficiency from character specialist for each character! Feel free to disagree its all subjective also on further look I meant to put Steve behind Kazuya!
Steve placement out of place I think . Just duck against Steve ch df2 has no tracking .. what else he can do .. may a sonic fang that’s it . Spam high crush moves , use unsafe lows . He is bottom 10 in my opinion. If you can Ss and duck will evade every Steve move :
I 100% respect you thinking that but id say Reina is the easiest mishima but at maxium optimization shes not as good as Kaz and Jin who have much better lows are frames Reina does have a better 13 frame mid option with df1 vs kaz df4 but with the ff2 nerf being more step able and even though Reina n kaz both have a 13 frame electric kaz gets better usage off it with ch df2 and both kaz and jin have better heat usage and if it weren't for Reina horrible lows in comparison shed be higher then kaz alot jin n kaz have better mileage off homing move interactions overall but Reina is not bad no character is unplayable
@ильяматвей-л1э not at all the character is where he belongs still a strong character with 50/50s a 14 frame launching Knee a 13 frame launcher in heat, good homing moves on top of less risky 50/50s in heat with death fist being minus 13 in heat and minus 13 low heat smash making him scary with an opponents back facing a stage hazard decent crushing potential/evasion mixed with good damage output decent power crush keep in mind this tier list on high level players optimizing these characters in a ft2 -ft3 set most Paul players arnt even aware of his 14 frame launcher or playing super optimal with the character I take all of this to account his punishment is strong all around Paul is very solid just underrated and under represented because the characters above him are on a different level
@@oktanskioktan9372 I wouldn't say straight bs all tier list have a form of subjective issues but what exactly do you disagree with since we all have different experiences? Most people find issues with Steve's placement even though Steve is underrated but difficult to play at maximum efficiency

Steve have no lows,no punishment,no 15 f launcher , his moves tracking really poor , everything ducks , everything steps ,df2 nerfed ,b2 nerfed , everything besides jabs and df1 are punishable ,ok not only that but that's key moves ,which you can duck , putting Steve above king ,who have better Ch ,or Ling Xiaomi or tonn of other characters is insane,ur Steve ranking based on nothing or on Heera Malik perfonance ,which is 0.0000001 of all
@@intactoarthur6795 how can you tell him what to judge the character on when it's his video and every character has weaknesses
Asuka being higher than Reina and Claudio is a volcanic hot take
@Ozcaty she's very slept on and if an Asuka player is a lab rat with high match up knowledge on what's strings each character ends with kicks, punches and lows she can launch punish safe moves with ease not many players aside from Fergus are optimizing her at the end of the day at the highest level it's player vs player people need to rember that I explained in the video why she was placed this high I'm crazy into match up knowledge and frames Asuka has better tools then Claudio in a ft2 format especially since Claudio has horrible lows and Asuka can tsubaki alot of Reinas options making her think twice
Anything you disagree with in terms of placement let me know who should come down or up a bit also keep in mind this list is based on ft2- ft3 format with maximum efficiency from character specialist for each character! Feel free to disagree its all subjective also on further look I meant to put Steve behind Kazuya!
48:00 Yo, what mod is that?

@@superblack898 and what makes you say that?
What's your main menu music?
My main menu music was turned off for this video but when it's on its changing season's from persona 3 reload 😅
@@priincelegiit goat. been watching all your videos, good explanations for dummies like me lol
@audiolols appreciate it I got a new video dropping tmrw I really enjoyed watching Twt so hyped Ranchu Won! Everybody played amazing 👏
Steve placement out of place I think . Just duck against Steve ch df2 has no tracking .. what else he can do .. may a sonic fang that’s it . Spam high crush moves , use unsafe lows . He is bottom 10 in my opinion. If you can Ss and duck will evade every Steve move :
I like your list but Reina is the best Mishima idc where she’s put but she is the best (true) Mishima
Paul is too high
Straight BS. Don't do tier list 😂
@@oktanskioktan9372 I wouldn't say straight bs all tier list have a form of subjective issues but what exactly do you disagree with since we all have different experiences? Most people find issues with Steve's placement even though Steve is underrated but difficult to play at maximum efficiency
