Literally DAY #1 in starting my video editing business! I've given myself 2 months to practice and watch tutorials before I start freelancing! I have set a goal of making $25,000 CAD between March 1st and Dec 31st (207 Working Days) and will need to make $120.77/day
Next year I'll go for 100K!
Question for Ross, in that video where you took the amature video editor and turned $500 to $10,000 you set him up with a website. What Platform did you use to build his website? I've been looking into trying Wix due to the low cost and it being user friendly! what would you suggest?
I don't even have a camera so I'm looking to get good enough to freelance video editing then save up and get a decent used camera and go from there! (lights, audio, gimbal)

@@mohammedameddigital definitely keeping myself focused. There is no end to interruptions if I let it so I just gotta block everything else out and work hard.
Learning: I've been watching and following tutorials by Casey Faris on DaVinci Resolve and I've been enjoying it. Only problem is because my skills and tool knowledge is very limited, it takes me a long time to work through solving problems on my own. But this will improve with practice. Keep it up!

How realistic is it to have a 50% close rate? Unless you have a solid personal brand of around 1k subs or more, I don't think that's very realistic

Hey dude, that depends on how well you do the other stages. If you're trying to land them as a client on you're very first try, then 50% is unrealistic but if you take them through a process then by the time you come to the sales part, or particularly the closing part, you'll have already weeded out the people who are not the right fit so 50% is responsible. If that makes sense?
Like all numbers they can vary massively and are normally dependent on other factors 😊🙌
