I do, but honestly I can live with it for this performance. Check my Corsica landing, you can see it on short final. Do I wish it wasn't there? Yep. Will it stop me from using these settings? Absolutely not.
One thing I'm not understanding is this. My NATIVE resolution is 3840X2160. I am running 3 monitors / Sony TV's. What resolution should I use in the nVidia Control Panel? 3840 X 2160, 2560 X 1440 or 1920 X 1080? Should I LOWER this resolution in the nVidia CP and then bump it up in the sim?
You don’t want to change the resolution in NVCP, you want to leave that at your native resolution. You bump it in the sim. Let me know if that answers your question.
I have the Windows 10/64 resolution in NVCP set at 1920X1080 on all 3 TV's. While the native resolution on these TV's is 3840X2160, in MSFS I have the FULL SCREEN RESOLUTION set to 3840X2160. and in the EXPERIMENTAL section, the two left and right TV's are set to 1920X1080. The TV's are SONY 4K. Most options under DISPLAY are at ULTRA. This is now giving me butter smooth frames on all three TV's. Frame Gen only works on the center TV as you know so I needed to lower the resolution on the two side TV's in order to get decent FPS. With your settings under DSR, I can bump up the res inside MSFS on the center screen to the 3840X2160. I also run two RealSimGear G1000 Suite screens for a total of 5 screens running on my Asus 4090. This is now, with the latest nVidia driver running better than it ever has. Your settings work great with some minor tweeks. All systems are slightly different as you know.
Please help. I don't understand how you can have your settings so high with no stutters. I have the frame generation installed, and why it does double my fps, i have alot of stutters and my sliders are only at 100 and 45(!) and my settings at high(mostly). If i put them higher i have tremendous stutters. I have a 3070ti, 32gb ram, i7 11700KF cpu, 500gb free space,... and i have a 4k G-sync monitor. I've set all of the settings in the Nvidiagamepanel, all drivers are updated,... I do fly with mods like the Fenix, 3rd party airports, rexaccuseason,... That does have a huge impact but that still doesn't explain why there is such difference in my and your performance.
A lot of people mention VR, I don't use it. I really wish I could help you folks. That being said, a lot of people have success with these settings in VR.
Hi may i ask with the dlss and the dsr mod you have done how are the displays not blurry? I mainly fly the fenix and 787 and are still relatively blurry
Open your usercfg.opt file. Find the line in the top block of options that says "Secondary Scaling" Change that line to read "SecondaryScaling 2.000000" Open MSFS and enable DLSS in Performance mode
@@08zea doesnt that defeat the point of DLSS? Isnt the point of DLSS to increase fps by reducing quality then using AI to upscale the image quality to 1080p etc, changing the scale to 2 defeats the main purpose of DLSS then. Unless i am wrong?

Same here, 12700/16GB rtx3080 frame generation doesn't increase my FPS but introduces a lot of shimmering/ghosting when panning so unusable. I too am switching to g9 neo 49", and my old monitor is exactly the same as you. I love my old S3220DGF, advice to keep it in case.
With DX12 are you ever encountering the dreaded ground texture bleed through of bing maps anywhere?
Also suffer from this, its too bad to the point where it isnt worth the frame gen atm. It seems to affect some more than others
@@operatordirt4611 its a nightmare i have scoured the internet for answers or fixes but it seems no conclusive answer is there .. some people have it bad, somee people never seen it, some people have the bug with 4090's some people never had it with 2060's
I do, but honestly I can live with it for this performance. Check my Corsica landing, you can see it on short final. Do I wish it wasn't there? Yep. Will it stop me from using these settings? Absolutely not.
Sir i don't have Dlss option in sim settings ! Any solution for that ?
Hey Mohammed, you don't see them in DX12?
I have a 3070ti, can i just copy these settings?
My PC can't run Holy Grail in MSFS (3400x1440p) and I have a RTX 3070 + 5600x CPU + 32gb RAM, do I need better hardware or is something going on?
Have you tried with the 1.78 DLDSR?
Not seeing FrameGen in MSFS 2020. Copied the 2 files to the msfs folder which has .exe file for msfs. Any suggestions would be appreciated
Do you have DX12 enabled?
@IslandSimPilot Im Connected now to FrameGen. But just get Flickering Sporadically
What Nvidia Graphics driver are you running?
546.33
I'm guessing it's because you're running in 4K. How big is your monitor?
Do you experience texture bleeds in DX12? Do you have any solution for this?
A little bit, but it doesn't really bother me.
Excellent but you really need to think about VR. 😢
Hey, check that you have that one setting in NVCP set to High Quality, that’s the important one in my opinion.
Open your usercfg.opt file.
Find the line in the top block of options that says "Secondary Scaling"
Change that line to read "SecondaryScaling 2.000000"
Open MSFS and enable DLSS in Performance mode
@@08zea doesnt that defeat the point of DLSS? Isnt the point of DLSS to increase fps by reducing quality then using AI to upscale the image quality to 1080p etc, changing the scale to 2 defeats the main purpose of DLSS then. Unless i am wrong?
@@lazr9227 it does but you still get lot of fps unless you want blurry screens
It's weird ..I have the I7 12700F with a 3080. Got the menu option for Frame. Did the Nvidia Vsync thing, etc. and yet, it made absolutely no difference in my system. Tried it with the V80 of the mod. I got the log, etc., so pretty sure I installed it right, but got zero difference. Not quite sure what I missed
Same here, 12700/16GB rtx3080 frame generation doesn't increase my FPS but introduces a lot of shimmering/ghosting when panning so unusable. I do however have a triple screen (3 x 1080) setup with the MSFS experimental extra left and right screen.
On a side note, how does anyone get 36GB in his system??
It's the 3 screens that's messing with you for sure.
Do you have HAGS on?
I have that on as well... Stupid question, but I was using the default MSFS Dev FPS to monitor my changes. Is it possible that it doesn't pick up the change? just realized that yours is a different FPS app.
@@IslandSimPilot Hes, both Game mode and HW accelerated are on.
I don’t know if you can help, but the DSR Factors is not available in my NVidia settings anymore, it was there two weeks ago when you first posted your video, now it’s gone. I mean not visible, not even an option. I have up graded my drivers, down graded them, everything, searched every damn video on UA-cam and the web, and cannot find how to enable it. Any thoughts??? HELP PLEASE
I believe it will only show in DX12, have you enabled that and restarted the sim?
Hey, see the reply from @nzbankboyinvr4713 and PLEASE let me know if this works so I can share it with the rest of the community! This one has been a mystery for a lot of people. Thanks!
Yes, was running DX12, as I mentioned nothing had changed. But I do have an update, so after removing drivers, and reinstalling still nothing, I decided to unplug my monitor, on a whim. Well that worked, as strange as it is.@@IslandSimPilot Thanks for following up, one of the reasons I follow your channel, you help and care about the community. :).
So to those out there, who do not have the DRS Factors option, try unplugging and then replugging the monitor back in.
@@ztublackstaff You're so welcome, I'm very glad this worked out for you. And THANK YOU for letting me know, I've seen this question a lot and I've seen different things that have worked, but I've never heard of this solution. I'll definitely share it with the group. Much appreciated!
This keeps happening to me. I already tried everything including unplugging and replugging the monitors and nothing
How are you running 400 TLOD? I cant go above 150 without insufferable stuttering with a 7800X3D
I'm using the Dynamic LOD mod, so I start with 100 on the ground and then it increases as I gain altitude. Before that I had it set at 230 for ages.
@@IslandSimPilot Yeah I just go with 100 everywhere, 230 would make my sim unflyable but maybe thats just because I only fly airliners, and those are harder on performance than other aircraft.. Ill have to check out that dynamic LOD mod though
Please test frame generation in vr
Hey, I don't use VR. Some people report that it works like a charm, for some people it doesn't work. It's hard for me to tell why. Sorry!
i bought a 60hz 4k monitor for msfs and i thought it would be smooth but no its choppy and ive gotten so much screen tearing when i pan my camera around i have a i913900k 4090 and 32gb of ram xmp at 6000hz if anyone can help me figure this out id be grateful
If ur not gonna use frame gen turn on vsync to get rid of the tearing
Msfs lags when u pan ur camera around in any computer it just depends to what degree ie if it can power it's way through it but to minimize it u can play in dx11 from my testing and keep the terrain lod at 100
This is unfortunately how the game was built it unrenders anything ur not looking at for fps so when u turn looking at new York u can go from 60 to 30 and back up to 60 because it has to redraw all that scenery again
I would never use 4 K on MsFS. 3440x1440 or qny other 21:9. 4K has too many pixels for the Sim. Zake a lower Resolution.
Doesn't work with VR though...
Some people have success with Vr, some don’t.
Hi everyone, I need help with the whole thing as I followed the steps to install the frame gen and then followed this videos settings for the game and NCP and I have got the frame gen in the MSFS settings on but I don’t get anything higher than 30 fps no matter what I try to do with graphics and it still drops down to like 12 fps… I also got unbelievably bad ghosting on all instruments and when I move my head in game and also on all panels that pop up … my specs are i7-12700H - 32gb ram ddr5 - RTX 3080TI Laptop edition. Monitor is a widescreen 1440p
Please can someone try and help me as I really want to get this to work haha.
It might be the widescreen monitor. Is this an external monitor? If so try it on your laptop screen and see how it works. Sometimes with big widescreen monitors there's just too much space to fill.
@@IslandSimPilot I tried that and it was still the same I ended up removing this and went into my bios and disabled virtualisation and now I can play the game at ultra with 30-45fps on a 3440x1440p monitor and its smooth!
