The motorcycle market has had its ups and downs since its inception in the early 1900's. When there's a down turn in the economy, the first thing to go is the toys. In the U.S. motorcycles are not used for transportation for the most part. They are a weekend toy for the vast majority and an occasional summer vacation tour. What goes around comes around. When the economy improves, so will motorcycle sales. NEWS FLASH! The sky isn't falling and the planet isn't burning up. Motorcycle sales will continue to have its ups and downs for the next 125 years.
The transition to electric is being made, that's why it's starting to decline.. You might say that no one wants electric, but sales of electric scooters are eating up a good share of the market
I'm 77 and still in the saddle 😀😁😂 I'm super alert always, i ride every day weather permitting. i also wear a orange safety vest always. i want to stand out wherever i ride. Most motorcycle riders just blend in with traffic . walmart sell vests , I buy on walmarts web site , free delivery to my home.
It’s to dangerous to ride on the roads these days mobile phones and attitude. Of cars drivers to bike riders ,selfishness is the norm these days ,I’m 54 and sold my bike
I agree and would add a ton more to your list. I rode starting in the 70s and traffic was way less, roads better condition, drivers in cars were more disciplined and no god-damned cell phones. I love motorcycles yet scared as hell to ride in today's environment 😮
Disappointed. I thought this was going to be another video about Kawasaki success. Unfortunately, it's a propaganda video telling us electric motorcycles are environmentally friendly.
We have to remember how the exchange rate changed things.. it used to take three hundred Japanese yen to equal one US dollar, but that is no longer the case... the current motorcycle prices reflect this. As a motorcycle dealer (Kawasaki, Suzuki, Polaris, and Kymco) I have seen what used to be a fifteen percent margin (plus holdback) turn into single digits.... So the dealers are not exactly setting the world on fire...
Woo hoo! CHEAP USED BIKES FOR ME. The aftermarket covers all my rides and will continue to do so. All the old bikers have full stables so we don't need new rides and may not have room. I'm not selling my FXRs, Shovels or Panhead to make space. The old HD is long dead and Wokely-Pervertson offers me nothing and hates my kind.
Roads are busted pavement and dangerous, many drivers are 1st generation drivers from other countries and not sophisticated to be aware of motorcycles on the highway. Everyone is on their phones so many distracted drivers, self driving Tesla's are a threat to everyone on the road. Roads are crowded and packed and its just many times more dangerous than ever before. Motorcycles are 4 times or more, expensive than years past. Parts and service are more expensive, so there are real reasons people are getting off the roads on motorcycles than in past years
The younger "thrill seekers" don't exist in numbers to sustain the motorcycle market.. I know several people who's sixteen year old kid doesn't want to get licensed to drive a car!

Where I live (Southern USA) we get our motorcycle license at fourteen, turn that in for our car learner's permit at fifteen, and then take a driving test at sixteen for our full drivers license. I was standing at the courthouse door the day I turned fourteen for my motorcycle license...
Gas powered motorcycle prices, are alomost as high, as car prices used to be, 20 to 30 years ago. Someone should make a video on used motorcycle sales. You can buy a used, gas powered motorcycle, dirt cheap these days.

Don't drink the kool aid on EVs. I am 59 and will continue to ride my Harley D and Honda Goldwing as long as I can....from theae cold dead hands. 😂😂
