This might sound weird, but thank you for filming this type of video. I have an *extreme* driving phobia, and I try to mitigate some of my anxieties by looking at traffic cameras, super planning my routes to places, only driving at particular times of the day, avoiding certain weather and lighting conditions, using public transportation to scope out roads before I drive them, etc and because I'll be moving to Logan this fall to go to school without friends or family to sort of ease me into a new driving environment, I've been really nervous about the move. However, seeing the footage from you driving around, I'm relieved because the traffic, speeds, and layout look very manageable, and I think I'll be able to navigate the roads without too much of a fuss!
Honestly same. I have really intense driving anxiety and I'm trying to move to Logan (that's how I found this video, probably same as you). And this video relaxed me sooo much. Hope you've felt comfortable in Logan
@@rahmacollins695 tbh, the driving is a little rough, particularly right up near the uni, but the further away from the school you get, the less congested it is. Usually middle of the day and Sundays aren't so bad!
I was born and grew up there. It's pretty. And thankfully the university is there. But the people outside of the university community are either super Mormon or otherwise very backwards.
Caught an accident at 12:00! Lived in Logan 21 years, my family there for 60 years. Hard to believe a town of 50,000 has three restored theaters, an opera company, a repertoire theater company and in the last few years has seen an expansion of wining and dining venues (Krumb Brothers, Cache Bar, Elements, Bee Hive, Kabuki and Barrel and Stave lead my list) and a 25,000 student university. Unfortunately the traffic shown in this video is not representative of the severe main street congestion that occurs daytime weekdays. And apartment buildings are exploding changing the character of Logan. But still a wonderful place to summer.
La Nonne is a wonderful restaurant with a beautiful patio. Kabuki is a superb Japanese sushi restaurant with some Hibachi tables too! Don't often eat Thai or Chinese. Logan has a fabulous Indian restaurant Tendori Oven in a gas station! Absolutely as good as anywhere I've tried Indian including New York City and Philly. There is a wonderful art museum on the university campus the Nora Eccles Harrison museum. Be sure to see the musical wooden shoe sculptures. Also check out the Center Street Urban Market where the restaurant features a different ethnic menu Tuesday (Taco), Wednesday (Peru), Thursday Italian, Friday Thai, and Saturday Mediterranean (Greek). Keep your eye on Crumb Brothers, they are starting to resume extra evening dining. And finally Logan has three excellent bars...Barrel and Stave (Logan's best chef Barney Northrop), Prodigy brewing, and Cache Bar.
@@alexeygraive1674 Late getting to you (just read your message 1 year later) Kubuki is superb Japanese and Le Nonne is excellent Italian with a charming small outside patio.
Cache County is beautiful! This is obviously Logan on a sleepy Sunday. Try recording traffic during gridlock. USU wants to double enrollment over the next five years. Businesses have & are moving in. Apartment buildings are going up everywhere. The road & water situation is not sustainable. Planners need to think a little harder about what they are going to do about it. It’s a gorgeous, wonderful place. I hate to see it ruined.
Logan Utah's main street has one bend at the beginning then its entirely straight. It's one block at a time with a traffic light at every GRID intersection. Grid meaning that every street runs straight North to South and East to West making navigating these roads is mathematical and the easiest streets in the world to find your way through like most of Utah.
You're right, it looks too clean. Looks more like Gary Indiana in real life. This guy who made the video shouold show all the used needles on the ground. Greetsing from Logan!!
