Your Voice Matter
I’m listening to this and I have a few points. 1st: the amount of money these players are scheduled to make is what has been determined to be what they’re worth. No player is demanding more than what they’re worth depending on position and performance and which contract is being negotiated. Plus next man up automatically comes with a percentage bump for that player making them if earned the highest paid. So why is it that people would expect a team owner to ask the player to give back money accepting less than his worth. 2nd, this is entertainment for us fans but this is their job. It entertains us but this is how they feed their family. Some get mad questioning the amount of money they make but according to the CBA and NFL guidelines this is fair compensation for what they do in the field. It’s on the owner not the player to be able to afford his/ her talent or trade them away. The player is not at liberty to play cap consultant. 3rd, people do understand that restructuring the contract early allows the team to control the situation by setting the market on deals moving forward and freeing up money to resign other fringe type players improving the team. We have watched several other teams do this but dumb fans and some media types blame the player for not devaluing himself or his worth when there’s this NFL norm that all respectable franchises do to help with cap management. That’s poor management by the front office and manipulation getting fans to apply pressure on players with this selfish narrative. The owner is selfish if he can’t afford the player but wants them playing for less than their worth, would the owner take less in a similar situation, probably not. Now if the player chooses then fine but pressuring is shameful. Last point on taking less money. Didn’t Amari Cooper take less money to stay, how about a linebacker a few years back ( his name escapes me) take less money to stay a cowboy; how did that turn out for them. Don’t think the players didn’t notice the treatment of those players, or how some get cut in favor of players with higher draft position but lesser talent or production on the field. If I’m Michael, Ceedee, and Dak I accept no shorts and no loses. Give me my money if you want my services or release or trade me to a team that will. Just my thought Boss, if you made it this far thanks for reading my guy!

People was for ZM holding out. I was for trading Zach Martin when he decided to hold out. He's old and we should have tried to get trade value for him. Now he's on the decline and we can't get shit for him except retirement. Micah is young and getting better. He deserves his money. I see colorism with this.
