I'd still play this occasionally if they ever decided to 4K 120fps patch it on PS5/XSX like I've been asking for since November 2020. 720p/60fps is so bad 😂 They could make a fortune just remastering/reimagining this exact game with 2024 level visuals and animations - job done, would sell millions.
The graphics and sound of the weapons humiliate Call of Duty Ghost, even though the games are from the same year. This also happens when comparing BF3 and COD MW3 (both from 2011)
True; but you also have to take into account that CoD and Battlefield have different game design. Battlefield uses larger maps and has slower-paced gameplay that emphasizes teamwork, so the animations can afford to be slower and more detailed, while CoD's smaller maps, faster-paced gameplay and more selfish focus on frags over teamplay favors faster animations. If you've ever seen Insurgency Sandstorm's animations and wondered why there's not much of a sense of urgency to them even though they're pretty well-detailed--the co-op team-focused nature of its gameplay is why.
Battlefield 4 pretty much had the perfect balance of combat and the gun play along with really well thought out environments as well as (mostly) balanced map designs with added levelution. Battlefield 3 started the trend for the franchise and is good in its own right but it does have its issues like the permanent blue tinting and very miniscule tracer fire, pretty hard to see where you're getting shot at when the tracers are difficult to track
1st! Just saying: I miss the good old days when Battlefield was fun and came with tons of content PS: I know BF4 was broken on day 1 but at least with the amount of content out there, it became one of the best Battlefield games since 2015
I played BF4 upon getting a PS4 at launch and it was fine after a few months to be fair. BFH and BF1 had a solid launch also with very little wrong, it was all downhill from 2016 on.

If we are talking consoles though BF3 was 30fps and COD was 60fps in 2011, so whole different feel/ball game.
