Great comparison video! I really like this format where you do the voice-over after the fact instead of lane side. I think you can get your points across faster and more efficiently this way. The line tracing is always great to see. I have the VS, BV and the Supra but find that these balls tend to roll out when I try to move deep (20 out to the 8). Watching this video, makes me think the Ripcord is a viable option for game 3. How would the Ripcord compare against the Primal for this situation (on THS, game 3)? Thanks for the video.
Thank you! Yes, I can help ya on that. So the primal is a unique ball for me and comes into play when there’s some open friction to the right right off the gate in league or I’m on high friction. I feel like the Ripcord Launch will get through the puddle and be more responsive off the backend and it’s pearl. Keep in mind the Primal is a solid so it’s smoother in nature where as the Ripcord Launch will be a nice skid then snap motion. I would personally throw my Ripcord launch game 3 over the primal. Primal for me is bit over under when I’m in game 3. Not saying it’s a bad ball I’m saying each ball has a time and place! Hope this helps!
Admittedly, I'm curious how the Shock would look if it had a 4" pin to pap like the others. The 5" made it go long and look way similar to the other three shiny/flippy balls.
If you watched till the end, you’ll see the shock still covers more boards and was picking up earlier at times despite the 5 inch pin. Theres a shot tracing at the end showcasing that. My shock is very forward. I don’t have another shock right now but definitely will keep in mind for next time.
You mentioned you specifically left out the Black Venom, but lo and behold, I use the BV as my primary benchmark in league. I have a Primal Shock on top of that, but I’m looking for something below. Is there a ball you’d recommend when the BV is too much (I.e. Hyper Venom, Rally, etc)?
Hey there! Yep! I only really focused on symmetrical pieces for this video. Honestly the Hyper Venom would be the perfect step down from the Black Venom and Primal Shock. The Supra Rally is a bit too much of a jump for me in motion so I like to use my Hyper Venom during transition. If it’s extremely high friction I have had luck using my Supra Rally. Hope this helps!
I have the primal shock for league. Was thinking surfacing it with 2000 grit. Not sure what to pair with it for the third game. Venom shock, Rip Cord, or Supra Rally. Any help would be awesome. Thanks
The Rally would be a good one if you’re looking for a lot more length, that ball is great when they’re dry. The ripcord launch will be more hook than the rally and be stronger in nature. I always consider too what kind of condition and if it’s high friction or not. Hope this helps!
