Is there any chance you could do a British/Irish country stream aquarium. I've looked online and can't find anything like that using fish that would be found in that environment. It would be different from all your others (I am a huge fan of your heavily planted ones like the Amazon or African river scapes especially with the not aquarium plants in them as well) and something that it seems no one else has done. Great tank as always and I rather like the water colour. Reminds me a bit of sepia photos in tone.
MD please share more about your water change system! I’ve seen almost every single one of your videos since the beginning and I’m always filled with envy when I see how easy new set-up fills and smooth water changes go for you. Please help me to stop lugging these massive buckets! 😂
He made the hose himself unless you can make a hose for your kitchen sink the only thing that will work is buy an electric water pump it’s like 20 dollars saves time from using a manual one and then you gotta dump it the old school way lol but he made that hose so it wouldn’t be the same for one of use unless would could make it
Get a Python, or a Top Fin syphon hose system. They are back savers, and you can hook them up to your faucet to refill the tank when your done cleaning.
@@brandisdreamland you can buy an adapter if your faucet has an aerator. Just unscrew the aerator and thread the adapter in, hook a hose up and go. Idk how everyone else's house is set up but for me a hose is just impractical and I agree a cheap pump works great. I use a "pond" pump and it moves 90 gph. Works great and I just store it in the tank itself as a source of water flow across the bottom. Works great for keeping detritus off the floor and in the column for the filter to catch and then readily available for water changes and drip acclamation (spend the extra few bucks and get an adjustable)
About ready for bed then I get a notification MD posted a vid. Def gotta watch before I go to sleep! Much love from California! Keep up with the awesome tanks and Merch loving my Cory and discus sweaters 🔥
So, question. Without the plants, you will have to do a lot more water changes than typical, right? Will you need to then boil more botanicals to maintain the level of tannins and pH?
@@michaellomax26 that just means that it should not get a build up of ammonia and nitrites, but will still need to keep the nitrates low; plants consume nitrates, but without them the best way to keep them low is through water changes.
Looking good! I definitely recommend more and more varied botanicals. I don't know what you have access to, but different types of leaves and seed pods would do wonders for this set up. you can even crunch some of the leaves up a bit if you use larger leaves like cinnamon. Also a few tiny anubias hidden in here would look great!
