Yes he was never on The Voice. Although he's been on The World's Best. But America did him dirty. They begged him to be on the show. He agreed on a condition that he won't be competing against children. And then he ended up in the finals against 2 kids. And one of them was even a little girl from his own country who he was friends with. And they didn't know prior to the show that they were both gonna be there. Obviously he would've won. But he didn't think it would be fair to the children. So he quit. And after they outright lied to him, they had the audacity to act offended on top of that. Not just because of all the drama, but because they didn't even air whole performances and chopped them off. Better react to performances from the Chinese show I am a Singer. That was his big break. Dimash started vocal training at the age of 5. He was routinely embarrassed that he had to sing with the girls because he was a soprano. The he went thru puberty and the low notes showed up! He was able to maintain his high notes (the ones you hear in this performance aren't even near his highest!) because he was trained through the change in his voice. He no doubt has significant natural talent but he is the hardest working vocalist I know. He is constantly practicing and pushing the boundaries of his vocal abilities.

Fake or not it is still Dimash singing - someone cut the rest in to make this video appear to be from X-Factor. Dimash is a once in a life time phenomenon of such magnitude that he just leaves us searching for superlatives to describe him. Don't worry Fable - we were all the same !! That performance was in 2017, I have been following Dimash for 3 years now and believe it or not , he's even better now. He is said to be the best voice in the world. And no one can say he is not extremely talented. His voice is a true gift to humanity.
I can not say I muself am a fan and would listen to his music all the time since you know i am more on the very heavy side of music. But I am in tears listening to him singing. His voice is out of this world and every now and then I do listen to his music as a gift to my soul.

I merely asked you if you had heard more than a couple of songs from him because maybe you're judging his "style" by what you've heard and not by all the different styles he sings. There is one reactor who is a singer and teacher who heard Samaltau as his first exposure and said he didn't see what the big fuss was about. Then he gave him a second and third chance and is now one of his biggest fans. It certainly doesn't affect my life if you are or are not a fan. My own daughter says she doesn't like his style of music, but she's only listened to two songs. I was asking if that was the case with you, that's all. Have a good day. 🙂

I have a feeling Dimash is going to premier amazing new songs at the 23 Sep Almaty concert and blow our minds. It's just a feeling I have based on his statement. Dimash wouldn't have hinted that "You haven't seen anything yet" and " I have a lot of surprises in store for Almaty concert" so I think it's going to be mostly new songs at his Almaty concert. But I guess we'll have to wait and see.
