Detroit Big Time Wrestling (1978)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 14 жов 2024
- Hosted by Chuck Allen and Terry Sullivan with matches including
Eddie Dice vs Austin Idol
Mark Lewin vs Terry Funk
Danny Fargo vs Big Red
Walter Johnson vs Mike Wayne
Don Kent & Stan Stasiak (w/h Floyd Creatchman) vs The Sheik & Dory Funk Jr (with Eddie Creatchman)
That cage encounter between Sheik and Stasiak was... interesting. They talk about the cage door is jammed shut, so Stasiak starts yelling "Let me outta here!", but he pushes on the door and it opens easily.
Great GREAT stuff. IDOL is GOD
I will bet that Funk and Lewin had a signed contract and the appropriate insurance.
Never saw Big time wrestling as a kid but enjoying it now.
Thought that was Benny Hill wrestling against blondie.
That must have been unsettling for Mark Lewin to take two potato shots from Walter Johnson.
Just watching Walter Johnson do anything in the ring was unsettling.
Brand new reinforced cage. 😂
Mark Lewin was a well built man
Guess Walter Johnson’s a heel now.
Every territory was the "wrestling capital of the world" LOL
He mentions California and it's funny because both California promotions and Detroit were in serious decline.
@@Kayfabe74 Yeah, and this was at least five years before WWF went national!
The mighty Austin Idol wins his match by using the dreaded...noogie???
AUSTIN IDOL HAD JUST CAME FROM THE WWWF KNOWN THERE AS IRON MIKE MCCORD AND MANAGED THERE INCIDENTLY BY THE GRAND WIZARD OF WRESTLING ERNIE ROTH WHO WAS ALSO ABDULLAH FAROUK WHO WAS THE SHEIKS MANAGER IN DETROIT AT THE SAME TIME. SADELY IDOL WOULD GO FROM HERE TO FLORIDA TO WRESTLE AND WOULD BE IN THAT HORRIBLE PLANE CRASH BUT WOULD COME BACK A YEAR LATER AS A HUGE STAR IN MEMPHIS IN JERRY LAWYERS COMPANY.
Sheik and Funk as a team. WTH!!
Danny Fargo=Audie Hager...geez that hair..
