I've now learned that a simple approach is what really helps when making beats. You shouldn't spend unnecessary amounts of time complicating things 👍👍🔥
I'm a big fan of both actually, theres more satisfaction making something complex and fire
I like taking my time just because that's when I discover new sounds, learn new tricks, and basically mix as I go along =D
I feel like mixing is where you spend the most time and boring part of the beat
N!X Yep, You should keep in mind to keep it simple and not overdoing it. This is a conclusion I came along with pretty early

1. Once a note is placed down, you can't remove it.
2. When you have chosen a sound you can't remove it or replace with a different sound.

Can you maybe do a video about beat timing with different tempos. Such as beat layouts, bars, hooks, verses and bridges.
Tempo doesnt really have anything to do with those
Servida Music what I’m asking is can you detail how to set a 16bar verse or 8 bar hook etc. With a beat at a tempo of 80 and a beat at a tempo of 150 because I think it does make a difference. Thanks

120-170 2x (for example 32bars part because it's double time)
Cripz thanks for the reply. How do you count each bar? Is it just 1,2,3,4 (1 bar) 1,2,3,4 (2 bars) ? No matter the tempo?
If you're making a trap beat at 140bpm programming the drums the same way he does, it's actually a 70bpm beat, you're just programming in double time

Cause like I've been trying to learn by myself about melodies and and baselines and all that but there is so much it's insane. Maybe just a condensed list of terms and techniques you commonly use in any beat. It's kinda asking a lot, it's just hard to learn these things on your own and I've always been better and watching someone and learning that way rather than just reading it.
