I watched Michael Jackson's albums/music video compilations on VHS over and over again as a kid, and then later, the same ones on DVD when they came out on those. I need to find those again, I know I still own them somewhere. I don't even know when I started knowing of Michael Jackson, I was so young, I may have always known of him lmao! That iconic. Now coming back to this... and just hearing him ever in general, it feels like coming home. It's weird. I miss him so much, it's like he's family I lost, who I KNEW, even if that makes no sense. I have a feeling a lot of people feel the same about him. The worst part for me, was that my whole life since I was very little and could conceive this, I said one of my biggest dreams (bucket list level important, I talked about this constantly) was to meet Michael Jackson and tell him how much he changed mine and so many others' lives for the better, and how honoured I was he got to be on this Earth and how much I loved his music. I also was very adamant on giving him a very big hug if he was okay with that lol! When I was young but a bit older, and I heard that he had left this Earth... so abruptly... I don't think my heart ever broke that hard before at a celebrity dying. It may have actually been so early it was my first experience of loss/grief. Most celebrities I couldn't/don't give two shits about. But. There are a very special few people who passed, who I just cannot get out of my head, and hearing about them to this day can make me burst into tears. Michael Jackson is one of them, along with the actors Bernie Mac, & Brittany Murphy, and the rappers DMX, & Tupac Shakur. Them dying DESTROYED my heart, each in different ways... Tim Curry also, having the stroke he suffered and he became paralyzed physically. That is just as painful for my soul too, albeit he is not passed (tHANK THE STARS. OH MY GOD) but it still makes me want to cry instantly looking at him. The pain he went through, that he didn't deserve to go through. Every one of these still feels so, so raw. I will miss, admire, Cherish these people until the day I die, and I haven't even met them once... isn't that wild? Goes to show you the power of pure positive energy/love. If your soul is literally broadcasting love and radiance and caring upon everyone you meet & everything you touch... ...how can the world possibly stop remembering you forever? You don't just make art. You ARE art. And people like Michael showed that very clearly. I watched Michael Jackson's albums/music video compilations on VHS over and over again as a kid, and then later, the same ones on DVD when they came out on those. I need to find those again, I know I still own them somewhere.
I don't even know when I started knowing of Michael Jackson, I was so young, I may have always known of him lmao! That iconic.
Now coming back to this... and just hearing him ever in general, it feels like coming home.
It's weird. I miss him so much, it's like he's family I lost, who I KNEW, even if that makes no sense. I have a feeling a lot of people feel the same about him.
The worst part for me, was that my whole life since I was very little and could conceive this, I said one of my biggest dreams (bucket list level important, I talked about this constantly) was to meet Michael Jackson and tell him how much he changed mine and so many others' lives for the better, and how honoured I was he got to be on this Earth and how much I loved his music. I also was very adamant on giving him a very big hug if he was okay with that lol!
When I was young but a bit older, and I heard that he had left this Earth... so abruptly... I don't think my heart ever broke that hard before at a celebrity dying. It may have actually been so early it was my first experience of loss/grief.
Most celebrities I couldn't/don't give two shits about.
But. There are a very special few people who passed, who I just cannot get out of my head, and hearing about them to this day can make me burst into tears.
Michael Jackson is one of them, along with the actors Bernie Mac, & Brittany Murphy, and the rappers DMX, & Tupac Shakur.
Them dying DESTROYED my heart, each in different ways...
Tim Curry also, having the stroke he suffered and he became paralyzed physically. That is just as painful for my soul too, albeit he is not passed (tHANK THE STARS. OH MY GOD) but it still makes me want to cry instantly looking at him. The pain he went through, that he didn't deserve to go through.
Every one of these still feels so, so raw.
I will miss, admire, Cherish these people until the day I die, and I haven't even met them once... isn't that wild?
Goes to show you the power of pure positive energy/love.
If your soul is literally broadcasting love and radiance and caring upon everyone you meet & everything you touch...
...how can the world possibly stop remembering you forever?
