Ah man, it hurts to see! I Got a 71 BGT, and the pervious owner gutted the wiring harness for a dash cam, and stereo (both that dont work) so I get cursing the guy that came before! It is so aweosme you are going to to work to try and save it! I look forward to watching! It gives me inspiration!
Good on you for digging deep and getting on with it! It's a big task to do after such a devastation. Just got to keep focused on the outcome and be positive, once you have it back up and roadworthy, it'll be a better car than it was before the flood happened
Following with interest. Saw this on instagram and had filled up next door a few hours earlier, managing to wade through multiple floods on the way home. All the very best of luck to you on rebuilding
As a fellow classic car owner and Stockport native I was genuinely gutted to see this submerged. Good luck with the rebuild, I reckon you'll have more luck than the Range Rover it was parked next to.
Been following you on Instagram with the rebuild of the MG, will be now watching on here too and hopefully you will get a good following to help with the costs
I really feel for you going through this and whilst it's going to be a slog I admire you for taking the work on because it's going to take a lot of time and commitment. I have a 78 BGT which I bought accident damaged a couple of years ago and have worked through to make a pretty decent car now just needing paint. Are you prepared to share with us anything about how the insurance claim worked out i.e. was it written off and you bought it back etc? I'm curious to know what motivated you to do the rebuild, was it the emotional attachment of the car or the challenge or something else?
Hi Malcolm, I didn’t contact the insurance regarding this as the fear is loosing it. For me it’s 100% sentimental with this being my gf’s grandads car. Most people say it’s not financially viable.
Pretty rough what’s happened there, I’d say most of the bits could be saved a good jetwash with all the bits out the car I’ve seen far worse get cleaned up, if you need a hand I’m only in hazel grove I’ve nut and bolt restored my mgb
big respect for deciding to rebuild! letting go of a car you care about and love is hard, I'm glad it's being repaired, financially viable or not
It will only increase in value. All new cars will soon be remote disable and have all sorts of intrusive tech
Out of all the cars flooded this is one that has the most chance of living again. Good luck fella.
Thanks mate, we will get there
Somebody needs sponsor this guy and help him out with parts
Thanks man, we do have a little something in the works for the next video 😎
Respect to you for going forward with this, as a Gt owner myself keep going it will be worth it.
Thanks, will do! 🙏🏼
Love these little MG's, was so sad seeing it underwater. Good luck with the work and bring it back better 👍
Massive admiration for trying to keep this thing alive, love from scotland
Love what you are doing. Best of luck. It’s all doable 💪
The community is pleased you are rebuilding the MG B.
We all wish you well.
Great idea to document the endeavour.
Good luck!

I'm local and walked over a day or two after it flooded, it was absolutely reeking of sewage still. Saw it sat all sad in the lot there, terrible.

@ I wish you well with the challenge and look forward to seeing your progress over time.
Heartbreaking mate. I'm subbing to see this getting redone. Is there a go fund me?
Hi mate, no go fund me set up. but I do have an Amazon wish list of consumables and bits on my instagram which is @scottheadz179
@scottheadz I don't have Instagram. 😢
@ ah okay, I’ve just put it in my UA-cam description too - www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/12TU71H1A1I8S?ref_=wl_share
@@scottheadz you have a hot air gun on the way! It's appropriate because I'm an angry old man who blows a lot of hot air.
Ive sent you something from your amazon wish list but the address you put is wrong and the driver can't find it, can you amend it please.
@@gravydavy4188 thank you very much mate just changed this now ❤️
Love this mate, well done!! I have a 74 B GT and am probs a similar age to you. Give us a shout if you want a hand!

As a fellow UA-camr if you need some help i'm local to you in Stockport...
Thanks mate, really appreciate it
bloody shame mate hope the insurance is paying out or who ever is responible for the damaged caused.are you all back in the apartments now
We’re still not in the apartments at the moment unfortunately, I didn’t claim anything through insurance as didn’t want to risk loosing the car
