I just discovered you! Never been so proud to be Zimbabwean (mbira is originally Zimbabwean), an anime fan and Disney fan! Most unlikely combination, but you make it so beautiful!!
This is one of my favorite Disney songs. I’m sure the sentiments of the song speak to many people in different ways but I can really relate to the whole “once you find yourself, no matter where you are you are home.” The arpeggios in this arrangement are so nice and so well executed. I also like the fact that this sounds like an ancient instrument that Mulan’s mother, father, or grandmother would play (though I realize the mbira is from Africa, not China). And the pond garden setting is perfect; I half expect to see the Great Stone Dragon hidden among the greenery on the other side of the pond. Thank you for uploading this; it is simply beautiful. And if there’s one thing the world needs right now, it’s simple beauty. Peace and Contentment to you.
