After the first Oregon game, there was a come to Jesus meeting between Ryan Day and the defensive staff after which they changed their whole approach to d line rotation and pass rush approach. Since then the defense has played lights out.
IF YOU ARE RANKED 1,2,3,4 AT THE REGULAR SEASONS END YOU SHOULDN’T LOOSE IN A 12 TEAM PLAYOFF IF THAT RANKING IS JUSTIFIED. BUT IF YOU LOOSE THAT MEANS YOUR NOT REALLY THE BETTER TEAM AND THE REGULAR SEASON RANKING WASN’T TRULY JUSTIFIED. OTHER THAN TO GIVE YOU A BETTER SEATING FOR A CHANCE TO WIN IN THE PLAYOFF.
If our hard working new O Line can keep Will clean and give him time, we should be unstoppable..and if he has a good game that is also…that is the whole key i believe…and of course that our defense can show up again like they have been lately ! I just hope we play well, and to our abilities, and we should be ok.
@@knothyselfknotruthit’s not unlimited mulligans but it’s been obvious that OSU is the best team but they lost 2 games and shouldn’t get the chance to win it all. The Michigan game should have held more weight
How exciting is it that the two most respected but big game level failure programs from the past 25+ years get to play each other in a college football semifinal playoff. Neither Penn State or Notre Dame have a major postseason football win in the past 25+ years. Luckily, now the winner of the Notre Dame Penn State football game can claim a major win on their run to the 2024 season runner-up.
Interesting news….Seattle Seahawks O.C. Ryan Grubb was just let go. He’s Kalen DeBoer former O.C. Will DeBoer reach out and take him back in the fold since he’s in the “Hot Seat” at Bama?
It sure seemed like DeBoer left Grubb in Seattle when he went to Bama. Now maybe Grubb decided to hop off the train but Grubb wanted to be the UW head coach so maybe he's ready to get out from under DeBoer's shadow?
@ DeBoer and Grubb have been a team for a long time. I think DeBoer would have loved for Grubb to come with him, and he definitely missed him this year. You are over the target with Grubb. He wanted to be the head coach at Washington but after the Jimmy Lake D.C. to Head Coach debacle I think the Huskies were afraid to hand the team over to another unproven coordinator. But Grubb wanted to move up and being an O.C. in the NFL was an offer he couldn’t refuse.
Chip ur logic is flawed greatly! In fact the playoffs may prove a true worthy Champ which BCS failed to do on many occasions especially after ESPN bought rights to the SEC in 06-07. Nothing could deny SEC an invitation due to a flagrant conflict of interest
Penn State could’ve rested starters against OSU & Oregon and still been easily in. Hell they probably could’ve lost to Illinois too and been in. But this is what people wanted so.
@ They were talking about how devalued the regular season has become and PSU is the best example. They had 2 elite tests all year, lost both and were still easily in to compete for a national championship. And not only that but also given SMU & Boise.
You could say the same thing about Texas, Notre Dame, and Ohio State lol Texas lost their two tests against Georgia and Notre Dame’s biggest challenges were Service Academies and Ohio State lost to Oregon and Michigan lol
So what? Illinois beat South Carolina the “hottest team in the SEC” also they beat Illinois by two TDS and should’ve won by more given they missed two FGs
Enjoy your podcast, guys (one of my top go-to's on college football)..can't wait for the semi's

Is it me or has chip explanations gotten a little long
Yes. Dude uses way too many words to say what he is trying to say
"Gotten"? Dude been long winded. He'll go on for 5 mins while the other guys just sit and wait to talk

Why is Bud questioning who the Ducks starting QB will be yet again? It’s Dante Moore and always has been
Regular season has just become mulligans for the big dogs.
Tell that to Bama

Wow! What a surprise! Back to the 70/80's
@@lindencamelback2305 ideally yes we should go back
Looking for Ohio State vs. Penn State.
That'd be lame since we already saw that game
@@nick21614 Yeah, obviously looking for a different result for the last 7 years. Soon.

Maybe if the committee didn’t leave out an undefeated Power 5 team and have SEC bias people wouldn’t have wanted a bigger playoff.
7:20 who’s gonna QB my Buckeyes next year?
Quinn 😂

coaching wise, i think osu has the advantage; but not for head-coaching. because of jim knowles, larry johnson and brian hartline and carlos locklyn.
Texas hasnt played a top 20 offense this year. I think OSU exposes them

Just think, if this was last year Ohio State wouldn't have even made the playoffs. That's why it was called a mythical championship in the past
