The chassis was built by Ron Attebury in his shop in Campbell, CA, a suburb of San Jose. I believe it was built in late 1976. Shirley ran the car from '77-'79. I may have been the last person in the Bay Area to ever see that car when it was competitive. She ran it at the nitro bowl at Fremont on New Year's Day 1980. I was standing by the trailer as they closed the side door. I took one last peek at it. The race was rained out. But that car was awesome!
