How to Do School Makeup | Flawless Face

My name is Michelle Dittrich and I'm a make-up artist. I've done make-up on a lot of celebrities, Pam Anderson, Kanye West, Lenny Kravitx, Cynthia Nixon. There's a big misconception that I could never do that look on the runway, and you absolutely can, everybody can. And you'll play to your best attributes, and I can show you how to do that. I'm gonna show you today how to do a really simple, inexpensive, and fast make-up look for school. We all know that we have a limited time for waking up and getting to school on time. So let's do a few quick easy steps. Starting with, if you have any blemishes, or dark circles, it's okay to use a little bit of concealer but use it sparingly. And you're gonna use it with your finger. You also want to make sure that you get something that is lightweight, cause you don't want to look cakey going to school. It's just to give you a confident feeling as you arrive, that you are put together but we're not doing a lot of make-up actually. So with your finger, go over any parts of your face that have any imperfections. A few blemishes, maybe a little bit of redness around your nose. And when you're buying this, try and have either a friend or a sister, or mom, any female, come and help you pick out stuff because if it's at the drugstore you can't necessarily try it on. See how quick and easily that blends and perfects the skin. Next, we're going to use a cream blush stick which I actually did recently get at the drugstore. And we're going to use it on the apple of your cheek. You're only going to apply blush on the apple where you would naturally get flushed. So if you need to, pinch your cheek and see where you get pink and that's where your gonna put your blush. So, take a little bit of your cream blush, dash it on both cheeks so you can get even application. Use your middle or ring finger and just lightly dab it in. it shouldn't be too crazy with color that it doesn't blend very easily. So make sure you pick something that has a pretty natural tone to it. And, now we're going to apply a lip stain. And what this is great for is, it adds color to your lips and has long wear. So, with the lip stain, start in the middle of the lip, and just cover the lip. You just wanna add a little bit of color; give you a fresh look to walk into school with, fast and pretty, but youthful and fresh. Okay? And you can use your finger tko blend with. And that will stay in between classes, etcetera, and that will be your lip for the day. But, if you need to touch up, or need more moisture to your lip, you can layer a lip balm of your choosing or you can use the blush stick that I used earlier on Billy's cheeks. Just to give a little bit of that pout and moisture. So I'm just gonna apply it directly from the stick onto Billy's lips. And the stain won't come off onto it so we're just gonna apply it into the center of her lips. And I'm gonna use my finger just to blot it in, Add a little bit of moisture, and make it a little bit softer color. And that should wear all day long. So finally, if you wanna define your eyes a little bit, and fast, just use a pencil. And I'm gonna show just a quick dark green pencil. Eye pencils are easy to find you, we all know that. So anywhere, you can find an eye pencil anywhere. Just make sure it's not too brightly colored for everyday school wear, cause you want definition but you don't wanna look punky, or maybe you do, I don't know. So we're just gonna take a little bit o the outer edge of the eye, and we're not gonna take it across the whole lash line cause we need this to be really fast. And then we're also gonna take, go ahead and look up Billy, just a tiny little bit, a little bit of definition. And this is one of the biggest mistakes that I tend to see with make-up that should be just a quick look for school, is that people go overboard, and it's like really you don't have to do that. Just do a quick defined look. Don't overdo it on the eyeliner. And, that's it. It should be like a minute and a half, two minutes to go to school, but feel put together, make it through your day and be able to focus on what you need to focus on. That blush stick took away all the tiny bit of colour that the lip stain gave her. She shouldn't have even bothered with it if she was going to do that.

all i use for school is mascara and pinkish peach coloured lipstick thats it
wait did she say Kanye west! plus the makeup barley made a difference I know that's what this look was going for but still... instead, if your going for an everyday look just apply mascara and a light pink blush, then a nude pink color to your lips. it takes five minuets its cute and it doesn't make it look your trying to hard, I think its a better way of doing high school makeup

Bro, chill out. You forget context. This video is ancient and was made during a different time with different trends. 2013 was very different from 2017 in terms it fashion, humor, trends, etc. Also no need to attack someone for having an opinion either. I think it is great to hear a variety of diverse of opinions instead of shutting people down like a nazi and ONLY allowying 1 opinion web wide.
I followed modern makeup guides and never felt myself, yet I was doing the norms. 2000s and 1950s makeup guides however mentioned "don't do x it is too heavy", something that would trigger post 2016 people to hear, but it legit helped me improve a ton and discover what kind of makeup style better suits me both visually and persoanlity wise. Don't attack an opinion just because you don't agree.
I am a makeup artist and I find this "celebrity" makeup artist so flakey and weird. She didn't even use mascara, instead of using blush on your lips how about a light colored lip balm or moisturizing lip stick? And green eye pencil with no mascara? This tutorial makes no sense and she acts drunk in all these videos and looks like she just rolled out of bed.
Not everyone wears mascara. I personally rarely do, curling is enough for me.
