    It's unfortunate. You get these types who seem to take offense at an extremely expensive, ultra high quality product. In 1976, I purchased an audio system for $6,000.00 and I had to contend with this type of attitude constantly. At a certain point, I simply stopped listening to them...I didn't care what they thought or said. If I could afford "La Assoluta" the 20th Anniversary Edition, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

    I not familiar with this brother, he is very informed about his product. Unfortunately these speakers are way out of my price range and budget, you feel me.

    After listening to this several times I thought it must be Rowan Atkinson not John.
    This kind of talk takes all the fun out of high end audio.

    Hey who would knew we'll get bling-bling into speakers too? LOL
    Now if they can make some 12 inch woofers that look low-rider wheels we're all set!

    I couldn't afford these... never will be able to afford them!
    So...
    If you listen to these for two hours, thats $125,000 an hour...
    10 hours $25,000 an hour
    100 hours $2,500 an hour
    1000 hours $250 an hour
    5000 hours $50 an hour
    9000 hours, thats a whole year $28 an hour...
    Holy shit... that's very expensive listening!
    That's not even talking about the high end equipment you would need to justify powering them!
    Lets say another $150,000 for other hi end equipment...
    1000 hours is only $1000 an hour folks!
    Can anyone justify that?
    Frack me!

      OOpps... slight mistake...$500...per hour + your running costs, insurance, security system! ect!
      So lets say $700 per hour!

      Its all relative. I dont have Bugatti Veyron money either,. but for people who can throw that kind of money around these could be little more than another interesting piece of furniture in their beach house ;)

      Yes Arther, but if i said, even to a wealthy man, come and listen to this music... oh and by the way, it will cost you approx $25,000
      per hour, he would prob tell me to frack off ... lol

    • @arthurwatts1680
      @arthurwatts1680 7 років тому

      Sure, but I'm guessing the same man doesnt want to know what an hour in his private jet is costing him. These people have plenty of bean counters to take care of that - they consider their toys secondary to whatever gets them out of bed in the morning. Is it 'fair' when over half the world population lives with hunger and disease ? That's probably a question for another day.

    • @frankjames4573
      @frankjames4573 7 років тому

      Yep...
      Arthur, if i had a fairly decent system, say 10 grands worth... i wish...
      Would a $200 + grand system sound $190 + grands worth better ?... lol
      If the answer is no, then what a pointless waste of money!
      Or is it just so that the rich can say, oh well, my hifi system was $500k !
      Perhaps it gives them some sort of thrill, just being able to brag about that!
      So many of these hi end hifi vids are... Oh, welcome to my zillion dollar home,
      and let me show you round my zillion dollar hifi...

    The label is inset 3mm into the cabinet, they're absolutely worth a quarter of a million dollars.

    • @toddmoore9138
      @toddmoore9138 6 років тому

      He has a pretty good idea, since these speakers, if believed to be so good, would be about 180,000 dollars a pair "better" than any monitor used in the recording or mastering of any media you were likely to play through them....

    • @CountOfWoodlands
      @CountOfWoodlands 6 років тому

      Tidal can compete with every mastering studio monitors. They use pure diamond, best resonance free cabinets and best crossovers. Keep in mind that you don't only pay for the sound, but also for finish, design and the whole workmanship. How would monitor speakers produce even better sound than the tidals when Tidal is already using best materials?

    • @toddmoore9138
      @toddmoore9138 6 років тому

      They can't. That's what I'm saying. These audio nuts are using speakers that would have to be "better" than anything in the listening chain that was used to create the source material. If the guy who mixed and then the guy who mastered couldn't hear the details they're talking about, then they didn't pay attention to that detail when they were created. If you assume they could hear these details, then everyone would be better off with some near field reference monitors for about 180-195k dollars less.
