Hi guys! I went over to the GCFCE this week and we puilled the 1953 Oldsmobile 98 Holiday Hardtop into the garage and Dan and I dug into the long-dormant hydraulic window system; it's going to be very fun figuring them out! We're back on the Buick Nailhead rebuild for our 1959 LeSabre, and then it's time to head over to the Jim estate where Dean and I join Jim as we keep hammering and grinding away on the 1956 Continental Mark II... There's even a wedding deadline now! Thanks to everyone who subscribed to our channel here, and thanks also for all of your "likes" and comments!

@@happyjohn8256 In a recent live stream, Scott described the balancing act. He doesn't want people playing for the camera, it would wreck the vibe & too much attention to filmography vs hanging out & working might wreck the whole friendship group, so keeps the video-ing discreet. This goes triple for Tom. Tom doesn't want to be on camera at all, might leave if he thinks he's being filmed.
Scott, Congratulations on the best episode ever. In just 10 minutes Tom managed a new world record 21 Fucks. Certainly this is on a level with The Godfather or The Sopranos, or even Richard Prior. Kudos, love your blog!
Scott: "This cat have a name?" Jim: "Stripes...cause, ya know he has these stripes on him" 😂 It's Scott's laughter that does it. I'm watching this Sunday morning and I almost woke and pissed off my wife laughing so hard 🤣 I bet that IS Dan's cat Tiger...he just shifts between shops.
Dean is like a kid in a candy store inside that Mark II. I can see Jim and his wife on their way to Vancouver in October. “Um, Jim, why is Dean in the back seat?” “Oh, Dean? Well I kinda promised him the first ride…” Cheers from Connecticut!
Stripes is the new Supervisor, interior quality inspector. If he is really top notch, he will find the screw/nut you drop, under the car/bench. No more scrounging around. An old blanket/towel in the back seat and he will also keep the mice and bugs out. The valve and seat grinding, just like my high school shop class 1970's. That Buick should run like a top for another 50 years. Jim might want to contact another Lincoln owner/club in Vancouver to securely house the car while in town. Ah, a hard deadline for the Conti - let the bodywork begin! The “No Swearing” light must have burned out before Tom’s visit……thanks for another entertaining hour, see you next week, Scott!
"Dean is telling the story through sound and dance"! laughed out loud! There's an image for you! Man you guys are funny together! Wrote this before I heard "we're all just bums in Jim town"! great episode!
Love Jim's cats! He's a good guy to give them a home. Just be sure to get them neutered, and they are really cool companions! I have eight of them - all but one also "just kind of showed up". Endlessly interesting animals!
Hydraulic power windows on a 53 Olds. Franker's will have fun any way she can! Lol. It's a beautiful day out here on the test porch after much bad weather! Lol. Thanks for letting us ride with you and Miss Franker's on the Chev Thursday. Thank you for all you do Scott. And friends. Best show on UA-cam! Hands down. Have a fantastic weekend everyone!
I should note I went to school with Grinder Gruntwork. Played defense on the football team, ended up owning a liquor store in Ft. Assiniboine. Drove a series of Ford vans. Great guy.
Man what a fleet you guys will have next year. You should go to a couple of car meets together and show your stuff. Maybe do a little meet and greet with some subscribers. Thanks for a great vid.
What fun! Where else can one find such joy in resurrection of 70 year old hydraulic technology and a Mark II quarter panel? CWM is the only place for such rich, diverse pleasures. Thanks, gentlemen for adding ‘welding flannels’ and ‘sugar scoop’ to my vocabulary!
Looking forward to the hydraulic rebuild on the Olds window lifters. Have never seen anything like this before. Interesting to see it come back to life. Nice to see Jim putting a target date up for the completion of the Continental. Certainly wish him the best for that. Thanks for making a dreary February Saturday evening that much brighter this side of the pond. Best wishes to all the agents, Frankers and yourself from the UK 🇬🇧

There's been a return to swearing as of late, and I appreciate the artistic integrity in it, whiffs of old UA-cam and Real Life when adults spoke like adults. Pretty pumped to see Dan's Olds come back, and to watch some hot Buick action. Jim's Conti looks like a car, at long last. We even got some Dean cam this week! All Hail Stripes.

You might not be aware, but GM was notorious for using brake fluid in their electro/hydraulic windows from the late 40's through the early '50's. That tended to cause corrosion in the central pump and hard lines since brake fluid collects water over time.
A little trick i learned years ago working in a dealership. Rusty screws that won't budge. Take the positive booster cable and connect to the positive on the battery and touch the screw with the other end of the positve booster cable. Just a little bit not long time. Burns the rust off instantly. It works.
