  • Kate Fagan's fourth book is "Hoop Muses: An Insider's Guide To Pop Culture And The (Women's) Game." It's a collaboration with curator (and former WNBA All-Star) Seimone Augustus and illustrator Sophia Chang. www.amazon.com...
Fagan explains how history shows Iowa being ripe to have a player like Caitlin Clark and why she wears her sneakers instead of collecting them in boxes like a piece of art.

Last summer, at the height of the WNBA playoffs, the only basketball story I was hearing on major sports shows and pods was about a Kevin Durant trade that never happened. So frustrating. Hopefully the women’s game gets more media attention soon. Im definitely getting a copy of this book.

Ladies, I can tell you , keep up the fight , it's working
I refuse to watch any political correctness preachy broadcasts
However, after years of giving up on basketball as something I would take time to watch ,
THE NCAA has lightning in a bottle right now, I chose professional rodeo as a career after college rodeo, but played basketball and football prior,
My daughters, both adult women, compete in rodeo
I sent them an interview with Caitlin Clark,
The NCAA women's basketball is an excellent game, I couldn't believe what I was seeing,
They let them play, they allow contact, how refreshing,
I will say this, it's the best basketball I've seen since Bird , Magic, Jordan era,
Discount the above the rim play , it's a wonderful game now.
Holy smokes , Haley , Caitlin, Paige , and so many others,
What talent, do I sound like a fan boy ,
I'm simply giving credit where credit is due,
I'm so impressed by these NCAA ladies
And I do hope Caitlin and Iowa gets their championship,
    Good luck with your podcast

I think that women's ncaa basketball or wnba are more skilled at shooting since dunking is rare. What makes a great b-ball player? Points scored, solid defense, shooting percentage, assists; Man or woman. You tell me. I am a middle-aged white guy.
