That is and probably will be the BEST best man speech ever. It is so awkward and sincere and endearing too, because Sherlock is just being his usual charming self and in being so open about these thoughts and feelings moves everyone around him without realizing why because, really? what's so special about what he said? In his mind that is just the truth and in this case it really pays off to lay it out for everyone to see.
8:14 In German there are two words for "you" "Sie"(for adults) and "du"(for friends or family members) Sherlock and John always said "Sie" to each other but then in 8:14 John say for the first time "du" to him. After that they are really friends and say "du" :) I don't know why I write this comment, but I think it's interesting 😅
In old english there are two version of "you" as well. The formal you was "thou" and the informal version "ye". The combined version is now the indifference of "you"
After Sherlock can you do big hero6 the series Andrew Scott is in it and next to no one actually reacts to it. It is awesome and was what got me to watch Sherlock

“High functioning sociopath......with your number....” 😁
This is clearly the best episode of the show in my opinion.
When a literal sociopath writes better speeches than actual public speakers
The speech was beautiful from Sherlock
Adore this episode, the best man speech is one of the best sequences ever written, the stag do alone is genius

It IS interesting!! I should check out the French version too, to see if they become familiar with one another at one point!

Amanda Abington (Mary) is Martin Freeman’s (John) X-Wife. I wish they were still husband and wife, it’s so sad 😞
Now Amanda is happily married again
happiest episode...pretty much😁
