He is the real deal, I reached out to him on Facebook told him to call I had no one to talk I'm all the way in South Carolina. I was on heroin and couldn't get off it. So I talked to him before treatment I went 6 months and he called to check on me 9 months after. That was 3 and half years ago..clean today!
Jordan Shoultes keep the faith man. I know when you’re using it’s hard to ever believe that you could live life without. I had a 2,000 dollar a day oxy habit which turned into a 500 a day heroin habit and I thought how smart I was by switching to heroin because it was so much cheaper 👀 I lost everything I ever had. Family relationships not only all my money but I stole a million from my moms business she owned in 2 years and almost did 10 years in prison for it. Even after being in and out of jail and losing everything and having my 3 closest friends die to overdose I never thought I could stay sober. Just keep the faith man. I kept going to treatment- 7 times to be exact but finally this last time something just clicked. I have 18 months clean now! If you were to ask my friends or people in my town they would all say I was the biggest junkie around and the most hopeless. Nobody thought I’d ever make it. Whatever your addiction is just utilize harm reduction. It’s all about keeping yourself alive until you truly want it. Because believe me. The time will come when the switch flips and you’ll want it you just gotta put the work in. Stay safe bud
Props to Scummy for being strong and overcoming hard times and dedicating his life to helping others, we need more people like that. And props to Twitch for not giving up on his friend and extending his hand out to help up out of the mud and getting him back to what he loves most, RIDING!!
props to him for being man enough to talk about it and own up to his mistakes and his issues. It's awesome that he's trying to make the most of his chance now and helping others. Best of luck Colin! rad to see him and Twitch hanging out again. We need to see footage of them riding again.
Dude this vid's got me choked up man! I've been fighting the dragon too. I got clean and its amazing being clear headed. I picked up an enduro and me and my 2 year old son ride around the yard every day. Swear to God i'm done with drugs. It takes serious balls to take your story public like this man. Mad props to you Twitch for being that friend--i got one like that and it helps SO much. Grew up watching you guys and I guess we're all growing up. cheers
Twitch you're a good friend dude. For real. As fans, we can only see what happens from behind the camera and the footage you guys put out. Clearly, you guys separated for reasons that Scummy stated, but doing this interview, he knew he could open up like he did. Made this real authentic and heartfelt. Badass episode. Glad everything is good now and you guys are back on camera together.
this shit litteraly made me cry. when it was over i with out thinking loaded my bike, left work and rode till dark yestarday. its easy to forget that ive always been the best on my bike when im running from my past or addictions. cant explain it, and ive never been hooked on pain meds even riding since a child...theyd give me oxys and i hated em so they would get tossed....i broke my face training for mma in august and i got hooked finally after the surgery...im 1.5 months clean or somthing like that and have been hiding in the dark not moving around doing nothing but feeling sad. this video lit my fuse man....i cant sit here and deteriorate. thanks collin for this clip..... i went out yestarday after not riding for 2.5 years and sent the 100' er on my second run in.i havent felt this alive in years. keep up the good work hoss.
Fucking crazy seeing this convo after looking up to both of them since "the Adventures of Twitch and Scummy". Been following them both since I was 14 years old, I'm 28 now. Insane how a few different choices in life can lead to such drastic ways people live, and these two dudes are living proof. Glad to see Colin on the right track now. These are some real ass dudes. Thanks for putting this together Jeremy.
A lot of respect ✊, I pass 1 year in a rehab , I'm still in "seuvrage" , I keep my head up , I ride also for fun on my brand new yz250f, motocross is a part of my therapy for me , I'm now at 1 year sober and it's the best think that I do for me to go in rehab , thans guy I love your video , sorry for my english , I'm frech canadian
Your bravery in this interview shows who you really are Colin, keep it real man! May you prosper in your sobriety bro! Good work! Always a fan, not only as a rider but as a person!!!
So glad video's like this exist. People who grew up with these guys, idolizing and wishing you had that life. Now you have an appreciation realizing at the end of the day they are people just like us. Glad there is an place we get a look at the day to day life of these people.
people that don't ride will never understand the bond 2 friends have! such an emotional video can really see the love shining through, I've been watching you two from the start well done on how far you've come.. much love keep riding
That was the real deal, from the heart. Hats off to you for having the balls to put it out there when no one else does. Very inspirational to say the least.
Hey Twitch, this series is beyond awesome. I wish they were longer. I can't wait to see who's next. Tyler Bereman was awesome. So was Colin Morrison. This was a great idea. Thanks
I couldn't believe this when I was watching it. Thanks for making this video and for always being a role model growing up man. The way you handled shit helped me get through the tough times of having Tourettes. Tons a of respect to Colin too for knowing how to get back up.
Colin your the man dude. Total inspiration! Your story is heavy. Addiction is so gnarly. You have no idea how your post on ig helped me make the call to go to rehab and change my life. Thanks bro!
such a common story now a days with opiate epidemic. Addiction doesn't discriminated and will take absolutely everything you have to give and more. Props to Colin for sharing his story and being completely honest. Thanks Twitch for bringing it to the masses. Glad his life is back on the upside and hope it maintains. Being in recovery myself, I completely relate, my story is really similar. I'm so grateful for the life I have today. All those out there still struggling, there is a chance at a better life. Get honest, get healthy, and find the strength to move forward in a positive manner.
Growing up watching you guys, I looked up to you. I never knew about how bad Scummy got but this video is probably one of the greatest videos I have ever seen. I am so happy that he got straight and lives a great life now. I went through this same thing but my dad is the addict, haven't heard or seen him in over 10 years and I pray for him on the daily basis for him to get better. Thanks for making this video Jeremy.
Great video man, I remember being a kid watching crusty movies every night after school, mostly the same one was 9 lives over and over, and all these years on you guys still keep in touch no matter the ups and downs, you 2 had a massive impact on my life steering me into riding everyday keeping occupied, 90% of my childhood friends are either in jail or on drugs and I've made it out with a full time job and a family, I can give thanks to you guys for that
So much respect boys!! Looked up to you two guys especially when I was younger. So glad to see your friendship is still strong and true! Very beautiful.
Always loved watching these dudes ride, talent, balls and funny shit. To hear Colin reveal his journey down that bad road makes you open your eyes big time. Happy to hear it's good times now and a positive future is ahead. Brave man to face his demons and let out the emotions, that is far harder than flipping a motorcycle buddy. Respect!
I'd say this talk whit Colin is the best 30 min interview whit a fmx rider so far. We are probably a lot of people who really liked to know what happend to Colin after the" twitch and scummy days" and here it was. This might have some good impact on youth growing up whit drugs round the corner. Well done!
crazy man I just hit 5 years sober off the hallieberry.. proud of scummy!! Thanks for having him on Twitch! Best thing I've watched on youtube for a long time! Powerful emotions going on in there gave me and my wife goosebumps! peace and love bro!
You guys absolutely started the pitbike scene. Its great to see sobriety & recovery coming into the moto scene. There is so many of us who got hooked from legally prescribed opiates during our injury periods. I'm glad to see Twitch was there and has been there for his buddy! Respect to you both!
Love this series! Awesome for you to share your story with everyone love how real you got I know how tough it can be. Hats off to ya brother! Keep up the good work Colin. God bless both of y'all
Video hit home for me. My sister and mom did heroin for 2 years and got sent to prison. Stealing just to get high and living on the streets.and it was hard watching them get sentenced but that day changed everything because their both out and living healthy stable lives. Thank you for posting this
Takes a lot to say that shit on camera bro. Awesome that you guys are reunited and Colin is sober to tell the stories you guys have. Good for you Twitch to put that on your show for other riders and people to hear. Legends for sure.
you guys were defiantly my idols so growing up, makes me so sad to hear what happened to colin thats some heavy stuff so glad he turned his life around you guys are legends
Damn this is some shit we all wondered about 10+ years ago. crazy the era of these 2 people are some of the best storys in fmx. it's crazy watching these two reflect on there old times
I always wondered what happened to Colin. I always kept up with the Mulisha, and always watched videos, my buddies and I would watch the events after riding or before, but I noticed not seeing Colin often. It's a trip on what happened to him, but I'm super glad he got better and his life turned around for the better. 3 of my friends OD on that shit and I hope everyone else who is battling addiction makes it through. Ill pray you all.
Brother I feel you to the core your stories hit home like you wouldn't believe. I'm a recovering junkie and I barely got my life together. I wish you all the best brother I really do Godspeed
Man, I’ve watched this a few times & it’s still one of the best interviews I’ve ever seen! Grew up watching these hooligans lol glad it’s worked out 4 them
I love this interview. I respect Morrison so much. He has huge balls to admit he was scared to flip. At 8:47 when Twitch does an early backflip, his boy is there to great him with love, and respect and pure joy for him. That is a true friend and brother.
Excellent episode...really revealing and honest. Huge props to both of you! To talk about something so difficult really shows how tight you guys are. Huge fans of both of you and have been for years. Really stoked that you guys are where you are!
Crazy how much I looked up to you guys doing dumb shit years ago.. Now I got mad respect for you both for turning shit around!!! You may not be flipping collin but bringing your life back around way more impressive than any flip!!! I'm 2 years clean myself thanks for the motivation bro much love. You the man twitch we all need mates like you!!
I so relate to when he said "when i was prescribed painkillers and melted into the couch, i liked it, i liked being high". The timing was bad too for him because OXYs were so easy to get. I also related to the fact that he said he thought those times would never end. Been there done that. I had 6 years clean and sober, relapsed on painkillers now coming up on 2 years. Recovery is good. Great video, thanks for sharing.
Terrific episode and interview. Mr Scummy Morrison brought it!! Got straight real heartfelt truth out there like a good man in the chance it will help another! Good on ya! Great stuff boys!
Thanks you guys for this. I was on pain killers and am in treatment now. Lost my best friend because of my bad decision. Him and me were watching you guys ride since VHS tapes. Thanks dudes
I've watched this vid a couple times now, I'm so pumped to see Colin in a good place. Love TSwT and hope you get some vids with Colin maybe ridin Pala or Milestone.
These 2 guys & the rest of the original Mulisha crew are who I looked up too in the late '90s! They made me realize that, although I loved racing, I could actually be successful doing what I truly loved, FMX! This vid almost portrayed my time in the sport to a T. I can't even explain how much I can relate to scummy & how much I respect guys like twitch. Since I spent more time on practice days jumping & trying tricks instead of practicing corners & starts, I was able to progress pretty quick once I decided to focus on FMX. Just as I started qualifying for comps, & becoming apart of one of the 1st FMX teams on the east coast (FMX East) which allowed me to do small shows, monster jams, & also gave me the chance to ride & do shows with some of my hero's like with Mad Mike Jones & Chris Rourke. And then, BAM...the backflip came on the scene! Even though I thought it was the coolest thing to ever happen, I looked at it in the exact same way scummy did. Not only did I know I would never have access to a foam pit, I knew it would take so long for me to get to that point that I had to give up on my dream. Like scummy, I also went down the same road with drugs, especially opiates. Meanwhile the other guys from the former FMX East team (Jeff Windstead, Greg Hartman, Adam Jones, among others) moved on & are still killing it, making a great living doing what they love to do to this day. Just like Twitch. So basically, I just wanna say that I respect the hell outa both Scummy & Twitch. Not just cuz they are both doing great with their lives now, but cuz I relate to Scummy 100% & share a lot of the same values. & Twitch's ability to accomplish what seems impossible, is exactly the type of guy I strive to be like in whatever I do with my life. Props to both if you, & thank u for helping me to decide to ride FMX full time, even though it didn't last long. Being a decent pre-flip FMX rider is one of the proudest accomplishments of my life. Semper Fidelis.
P.S., my thumbnail is my 09' R1 all wadded up in the street. I was whacked on oxy's, soma's, and Xanax. I got 8 years sober on July 19th. For all of you in the struggle, im living proof that there is a path to sobriety for all of us. We just need to recognize when it comes. It's all love, keep fighting the good fight!!
I fly Moto mmm soma 350s those were delicious......to bad one day was so boogered up and had the great idea to take a long nap. woke up the next day an gave myself an ultimatum. that was the 3rd try and fortunately was the last......3 years going on 4 clean. love every second of my life now!!
dude thanks for sharing. I lost everything from drugs and lost time with my dad my sister and many more of my family that died. I been riding since I was 5. iv been watching you both for years. I'm not ritch but I'm doing ok for my self with my wife. I wish I could chill with you guys just for one day. I don't have any luck in my life but to take the bikes out would be great. I remember when I was so fucked up on drugs I sold all my bikes and even my very first bike that's what killed me. I have a 1997 yz125 now that I built from ground up. my fram just got q little crack in it the other week but I'm still ripping it up. I work 7 days a week and I'm just grateful I'm still alive and not dead. I'm blessed each day but honestly I wish I could take my bike out ridding with you guys it would mean the world to me. may GOD bless you both much love and respect
It was so hard for him to tell everyone that.... you guys are buddy’s.... it is a gift.. you please keep working at it....... you both are very blessed....
Very motivational for those in need. Ive been sober almost 3 years now and can really relate to Colins story. Keep it real brother, you are a good dude.
Im so glad I've watched this ! Thank you so much ! This has brought tears to me hearing him. Im on the same boat right now ! I need to get myself some help....
Damn Collin that was deep, I'm happy that everything turned around for you. If you ask me yourself and Jeremy started the the whole fifty scene, he'll that's why I bought my first fifty back in 02. TWITCH and SCUMMY do live on, a friendship/fmx duo you can never copy!
Bro. This interview frfr hit home for me. Collin story inspired me to get clean. I have alot of respect for him and you Jeremy for showing me what a real bro looks like so i can eliminate the trash I surrounded myself out of my life and move on with an easier recovery. And it was the friends that you pushed away when I was fucking up cuz I didnt want them to see me like that.... Thanks guys for the help. #DBK
I am a 40 year old crybaby. This was the most honest and real video I have seen in a long time. This is who we need to look up to. Someone who actually has crawled out of the ashes and came out on the other side a truly blessed person. And wants to give back to others and share his story. I have so much respect for you. Not a lot of people impress me but you sir have. Thanks Jeremy for standing by your friend during the most difficult time in his life. I'm sure he is eternally grateful. True friendship. Thanks for all of the memories guys:)
@TwitchThis1 dude keep these 1 on 1 videos coming. This was one of the realist clips I've seen. Been watching you guys since day one in the mulisha days, and to see where you guys are at now days just having fun with life, it's super sweet. Deadset legend!
Man that was heavy.. I nearly choked a tear out myself awesome to come out on top of that Now you need to get your stones back on the dirt keep it up awesome
Truly an inspiration for me. I appreciate you being venerable and I want you to know that you've inspired me to work towards getting off drugs and getting my life back on track. Thank you
Colin thank you for telling your story, its awesome to here a similar story to my own. As I was a semi-pro slopestyle freeride mtn bike rider that went down the same path of addiction and loss, its inspiring to not be the only one in that boat. life is truly worth living, keep the rubber side down and love life.
Hey Man,, Congratulations on finding Sobriety!!! Identified a bunch with Your Story!! Great to see You two together after weathering the Storm.... Someone once corrected me, he said, "You're not lucky, You're Blessed" The Both of You are!!! Best Wishes to You with Your marriage. May Life Grant You all the Happiness and Health this World has to Offer!!! God Bless

You may not be flipping collin
but bringing your life back around way more impressive than any flip!!!
I'm 2 years clean myself thanks for the motivation bro much love.
You the man twitch we all need mates like you!!
much respect and gratitude for sharing Colin's story!
🙌🏻 So cool to see these dudes together. Colin Morrison, nothing but love and respect took a lot for him to bring up the past. We love you man ✌🏼
I so relate to when he said "when i was prescribed painkillers and melted into the couch, i liked it, i liked being high". The timing was bad too for him because OXYs were so easy to get. I also related to the fact that he said he thought those times would never end. Been there done that. I had 6 years clean and sober, relapsed on painkillers now coming up on 2 years. Recovery is good.
Great video, thanks for sharing.
Been following these guys for 32 yrs. Since Crusty days 💪🏼.. Collin & Jeremy have always been my fave’s!! Killer memories 🤜🤛🇺🇸🫡!!
Colin is one of realest dudes you will ever meet. Awesome guy.
Respect. Good for you, Colin. Your story will be an inspiration for someone who is struggling with the same things you overcame.
Fuck... going so low and bringing that shit back. Gotta respect that.
Wow. No words. Proud of you Colin!!! Great vid
That was one of the realest interview's I have ever seen. Twitch and Scummy still live's!
Mike Mummm great work brother, don't look back!!
Damn that sucks man. I’m sorry
Somas are good but I’ve had.to many close calls so I don’t take them anymore lol
I'm stuck on somas and heroin myself. Just stuck
dude thanks for sharing.
Much respect to the both of you! Glad he bounced back from all that.
Inspirational. Good to someone who doesn't put up a front and is just themselves. More people need to destroy that ego.
I tried to be just like him back in the day, still after the darkness he's still cool at heart. Good shit
Thanks for posting Twitch. Heartfelt and real.
Such a dope ass video your actually making shit people want to watch definitely looked up to you guys as a kid
Anthony Murdock thx for the love Anthony. Been thinking about this for a while and just wanted to make it right and be real with people.

Y'all are legends in my book! And the reason I ever got on bike! OG's
Twitch & scummy are realist dudes!...amazing to see Colin sweet!.. good for you bro & Jeremy & the whole crew!... keep doing what you do best!!
Deadset legend!
much respect to the both of ya!
Greg Mojher thx bud.
shits deep...tear jerker for sure
Man that was heavy.. I nearly choked a tear out myself awesome to come out on top of that
Now you need to get your stones back on the dirt
keep it up awesome
Truly an inspiration for me. I appreciate you being venerable and I want you to know that you've inspired me to work towards getting off drugs and getting my life back on track. Thank you
Respect to Morrison, I quit all the bullshit in my life a little after he straightened up. an inspiration for sure.
Colin thank you for telling your story, its awesome to here a similar story to my own. As I was a semi-pro slopestyle freeride mtn bike rider that went down the same path of addiction and loss, its inspiring to not be the only one in that boat. life is truly worth living, keep the rubber side down and love life.
it's nice to see that both of there grills are straightened out and looking good.
Cool to see you guys hanging out.
