Didn’t Louisville make the Championship last year and are playing better this year? I was screaming from the rooftops all summer that NC St and V-Tech were trash.

Notre Dame appears to be having a down year, and the Big Ten isn't as strong as expected, so there may be room for 2 ACC teams to make the playoffs. The ACC looks like a step down in competition from the Pac12 though. Cal and Stanford may do better than expected. SMU is stepping up from G5 and may take a year to adjust, despite everyone being optimistic on their chances in the pre-season.

Acc only getting one in. Whoever wins their title game. They are trash. It’s gonna look this way
      SEC 4
      Big 10 3
      Big XII 2
      ACC 1
      G5 1
Last spot for either WSU or OSU or if ND runs table rest of the way and the committee forgives them for losing to NIU. ND should be done however we all known how biased the committee gets….

I can see the possibility of a 1 loss Clemson and 1 loss Miami (ACC championship) both making the playoffs. Maybe even a 1 loss Louisville too, although they probably drop more than one game.

@@LockedOnCollegeFootball Spencer I have a question for you. According to article written by Jon Wilner that apple cup game is more important for Washington than Washington State. He stated that UW wins the game then only need three more wins to get bowl eligibility. If they lose the game it will become more harder for them to get four more wins because of the schedule. Do you agree with Jon Wilner or not.

@@LockedOnCollegeFootball We can agree to disagree. NC State and South Carolina are at home and Clemson rarely loses at home and VT couldn't beat Vandy. Clemson has a better roster than all 3.

Now last year when the Big 12 was losing to Group 5 teams (Baylor vs Texas State, Okie State vs South Alabama and Cincy vs Ohio), no one on Locked on was saying that the Big 12 was overrated. Is that because none of them lost to an SEC team? This seems to be SEC bias here.

Yeah but Cal beat Auburn dude. Cuse.. Miami smoked Florida... there's just a change of guard in the ACC and people are paying too much attention to the Old guard

Pre season and early season rankings were always BS. They are even more so in the free transfer/NIL era as teams can add or subtract 20 or 30 or more payers, not including their incoming freshmen class. What a team did the previous year is essentially out the window.

ACC is 5-5 versus the other 3 conferences. 10 more games left vs the 3 conferences and 5 remaining versus ND.

Just laying this here but Clemson and Florida State have peaked. The ACC is a decent conference but so many of those schools NC State,Virginia Tech and others are just ok schools never elite. There is quite a bit of elite high school talent that leave North Carolina and go to the SEC or Big 10. I guess Miami steps up finally…still makes you wonder when NC State gets blasted on a national stage what the issue is with ACC besides money and acquiring elite players.

    Worry about the mid 12.
Overrated Kansas got exposed by Not Georgia, Not Tennessee..
    "incredible" Illinois &
Little bro Kansas State got gifted a Win over Tulane which was the better team. Lol.

I'm a Tennessee fan. Man the Tennessee game is over. They are a good team. It's Wednesday... Look at your next game. That's how your fans are gonna get excited and make the team better because the fan base is exciting for the next game.

If Clemson wins out and goes 11 and 1 and meets an undefeated Miami team in the ACC championship game there is a chance they both make the playoffs if that game is close,

It's still early, but it looks like its Miami's conference to win. At this point, I don't know of anyone who is playing nearly as well as they are in the ACC. But ask Danny Kanell, lol. He likely still has Florida State.

Ehhh the ACC has teams that will continually be ranked in the preseason: FSU Clemson Miami. The Big 12 is destined to be a 1 bid conf because they have no elite team and don’t have great OOC games. I’m a USC Trojan fan saying this✌🏿

I don’t get it. I understand Clemson got whooped and Florida state is horrible. Ga and Tennessee will whoop anyone in the big 12 too so what’s our measuring stick? Clemson, NCState, Miami could take down the big 12 by themselves. We all know the SEC is the big dog in the backyard.

ACC will not exist in 3 years. Disney aka espn is so done with this conference and their abysmal TV ratings and overall out of conference performance. Enjoy the nostalgia of this has been conference. Come 2027 at least 8 members will be in the SEC, BIG and B12. Rest will merge into the AAC. Stanford & Cal are so screwed and likely join ORST and WASU in Mountain West. This conference is dying a slow death.
