I'd like to think, that *it isn't merely* the Titan's "height" that allows them to "shoot over" structures-and thus tactically dominate surface engagements.. I'd like to attribute it to the Titan pilots' *urban combat experience* from the chaotic Second Tiberium War - and that they don't actually shoot OVER buildings, but in fact.. ..shoot through the windows as well. Imagine a Nod Avatar, with a stature that towers over even Titans - and even they can't shoot over structures. Now imagine an engagement between them, 1 on 1: surrounded by high rise structures.. ..the Titan pilots, who are noted to be veterans of the previous war - find the perfect angles around the cityscape, hitting the Avatar with high-powered 120mm autoloader cannon shells with every opportunity found - from behind, through windows-even a small gap between buildings - they just seem to know urban combat like the back of their hands.. ..and the Avatar mech's mighty integrity eventually starts to falter, as the warmech heads away from the hell that is that city, and back to the stealthed safety of a Nod base.
@@Raudent Well in TD maybe, but in TS, projectile based arcing shots (e.g shots from an undeployed tick tank) will in fact get blocked if attempting to shoot at a target *behind a neutral* or *enemy* structure, or one that's far enough back and above a cliff. Meanwhile, Titans in TS do have insta-hit (invisible) attacks (no actual travel time), letting them hit anything, behind anything even above everything (so long as they're within range, of course). :D
Scorpions... blah. Heavy tanks.. yes. But so does every other tier 1 unit compared to a 3rd tier unit. Accept Titans still have the major advantage of shooting over anything. No hiding defences/units behind buildings, i can shoot them. Units trying to get in and flank my base, thinking they are safe. Nope... i still can shoot over my own buildings, and if you try and attack me, i will crush/punk out your 1/2 tier tanks. Attacking my base after a curtain period will be a living hell.
Arnab Mukherjee I'm talking about gameplay wise. Also, is it really that hard to type are instead of r? anyways.. if you think they're the worst, it probably just means you don't know how to use the Talons to their full potential. Just stick with the one you know you're good at. But don't rely on just one tactic.... its easy to counter after 1 battle. Just sayin

All units can fire through building in TD and TS... because of engine limitation.

i love ur explanation
*STEEL TALONS RULE!!*
except that if a titan squad goes into an enemy base without wolverine support, they can get destroyed by commando's rlly easily
@CHRZ CZON anything that walks on two legs can get a bomb planted on it. This includes wolverines, titans and juggernauts.
@@shahnazfiaz2015 Or three legs. Scrin tripods can be blown up too
@@chingamfong anything with legs, basically.
@@shahnazfiaz2015 no not the redeemer.

steel talons suck
+Arnab Mukherjee Steel talons rule!
they suck hands down
+Arnab Mukherjee Not really. They're quite strong if you know how to use em. But that goes for all factions
they r the worst gdi faction and their leader Mitchell Joshua is an incompetent asshole
