this is for my reference :] thanks for making the pattern! 1.) Ch. 52 (or any number that is divisible by 4 that fits your laptop), Ch.1 and turn 2.) Sc in every st (52) 3.) Ch. 3, dc, skip a st, 2dc, then dc in the st you skipped. Skip a st, 3dc, then dc in the st you skipped. Repeat this till the end. You will end this rnd by dc twice. 4.) Sc in every st (52) Repeat rnds 3 & 4 until the work is the size of your laptop. Make sure you end on a sc row before finishing off. 5.) Slipknot into the edge, (ch. 1, 2sc in the chain space of the dc row) x repeat on all sides. This will create a border to make it easier to attach the sides. 6.) Sc on the sides to attach (or you could slst ngl) Attach a button near the top center. 7.) Attach a slipknot and sc around the top. When you reach around middle of the side opposite the button, ch. 23 (or more depending on your laptop fit. this loop will be for the button), sc in the next st and continue till the end of the round. Slst to finish the round. 8.) Sc in every st, slst to finish the round.
@@samusani1186 omg it’s been a while so I’m not entirely sure but I believe one and a half ball of yarn. One ball was 50g, probably weight 4, and I used a 4.5mm hook! Also I made my laptop sleeve sliiightly wider than in the video
This is gorgeous and your tutorial is amazing. I loved crocheting when I was a little girl 40 years ago and now I've just picked it up again. It's kind of like riding a bicycle - I remember but I'm rusty. Id like to use this pattern to make a little crossbody bag to fit my wallet, phone, and kindle scribe. Can you show or tell me how to add a shoulder strap?
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I'm making a scarf for my mother with the same pattern. She's gonna love it!! Keep posting more and more videos like this with interesting patterns! I loved how you explained so clearly, this video was really helpful. Thanks again!!
Hey, i must be doing smth wrong bc i did 68 chains but whenever i try do the double crochet row i always end up with 3 stiches left instead of 2 😢. What am i doing wrong???
Im working on mine right now and that’s the problem I’m having too. I’m just adding one more double crochet to fill it up instead of restarting. I’m on my second row of double crochet so we’ll see how it turns out.
That's probably because you didn't skip a stitch after chaining 3. So after each row of single crochet just chain 3..turn over...then double crochet into the next stitch skipping one stitch....then skip a stitch again and then 3 double crochets into the next 3 stitches. I'd have done the same mistake of not skipping the stitch after each chain 3 had I not read your comments first. Was a little more cautious after that. Just finished 2 rows of my work....let's see how it comes out.
