PSA: We've received some updated information about the number of HDMI 2.1 ports featured on this year's ULED TVs and Hisense has confirmed the following: U7Q - 2x HDMI 2.1 U7Q PRO - 4x HDMI 2.1 U8Q - 3x HDMI 2.1 and USB C
Please jist give us a 100" high end panel with no sound at all. I am assuming anyone with that level of allocation to antelevision will have an independent aoundbar or a full atnos setup. I know I do.
Does this confirm that Hisense are using the MediaTek Pentonic 800 chip which MediaTek announced back in June of last year? My ears pricked up at him saying that 2025 U series TVs from the U7 Pro models will have 4x HDMI 2.1 ports. The old MediaTek Pentonic 700 chip did not support 4x HDMI 2.1 ports(only 2) so does this confirm Hisense are now using the updated much improved Pentonic 800 chip for 2025 Mini Led TVs which MediaTek announced would support 4xHDMI 2.1 full bandwidth ports, 165Hz panels, better upscaling tech and WiFi 7? If so, I will buy one as soon as they become available in my country (NZ) I am in the market for a new Mini Led TV and I have been patiently waiting for a TV company to announce a 2025 TV with the updated Pentonic 800 chip before I buy.
@@chane2k1 It looks like a great TV to buy. I think I will buy it too and keep it until HDMI 2.2 and Hisense trickle down that RGB technology in their large 116 inch TV at CES into the smaller sized TVs which will happen at some stage. That RGB Mini Led TV looks insane and I mean that in the best possible way. I want one but 116" is far too big for my living room so I will have to wait for when they trickle that technology into smaller sizes. The U8 will be awesome for now.
Confirmed by Hisense UK as 4x HDMI 2.1 on the models mentioned in the video. No word on the chipset enabling this though... so you may indeed have to draw your own conclusions.
Will this 2025 Hisense have improved the problems of the 2024 models that had a regrettable screen uniformity, and terrible viewing angles on MiniLed models?
Love the competition between HiSense and TCL, making ultra large screen affordable to the masses. Who would've thought China would be leading the tv tech with high quality products. Thank you China.
Shame it's got vidaa os he goes on about it like it gives them an advantage. For me if it had google tv or android i would buy one but the OS stops me buying one. Why can't you offer android tv in the UK it makes no sense as the US market has android/google tv.
Hisense is released a lot of new models particular around the mini LED models. lol. thats because Hisense makes only LCD based tv's that have a MINI-LED back lighting. Is the New Hisense 116" an LCD TV? Hisense threw so much jargon at the name of this 116" model, I doubt anyone can make sense of it. One thing is for sure it's NOT OLED and NOT Micro LED. So it must be an LCD tv. And with that extra 1" they beat TCL's 115" lol. Wonder if that one inch really matters to some one.
Well at this point I feel like it is more like flexing their wealth. Because it is less than 2 percent of the surface area compared to 115 inch. The picture quality will be almost similar, and you would have to have both TV side by side to see the difference. I also believe in this size TV, TV manufacturers should make it 8K.
@ Have you watched the video? The UK rep called it that. Maybe he was mistaken. He made a few mistakes tbf. Either way my comment is we will finally get a 98-100inch higher end tv for the uk that isn’t stupid money to buy. Your move TCL.
2025 u8 is a big step up or 2024 model wwas succhh a big step uo that this year is dgoing to be something minor? A few hundred niits and dimming zones.
To my surprise you guys have had the best tv coverage for CES 2025 GJ. Might have to sub now.
They make the best ces videos since forever, plasma TV times, a decade ago 😊

Hisense never ceases to impress me, what an amazing TV brand it is.

I just bought a TV, but i'm already saving up for this year's Hisense U8.

55” model had less brightness than larger sizes …. Hopefully they fix that too (2024 U8N Model in US)

Missed opportunity to have adopted Google TV worldwide instead of penalizing all markets ( except US ) with their proprietary Vidaa OS system.
Totally agree and he even boasts it gives them an advantage by having vidaa os. I would buy one if it had google tv or android.

They've said LCD elsewhere
Vidaa is crap.
Hisense U8K in 100 inch… TAKE MY MONEY
U8K? That's a 2023 model.

I’m in a tiny minority, but I wish there was a 3D model.
Just give us that RGB mini led in 100 inches
Can you afford it?
@ how much is it say it’s roughly 6k im cool with that
