Well done Harry
tip: when i used to work on old BMC engines with canister type oil filters, like your 135 has, the nack was to hold the canister from turning with one hand and turn the bolt with the other. remove the bolt then the canister.
Well done 👌

Do you know if there is a larger filter housing or double filter housing available for smaller particle filtration?
The spring went up inside because you put it on the wrong way round the first time. I don't think you need a washer if you put it on wide side up as you did this time. The danger of putting the washer on (especially as it was a very tight fit) is that it may jam on the centre bolt and stop the spring from performing its function correctly.
Correct, and why I suggest shietcanning the antiquated canister filter with a Spin-On filter update . Just 25£ , 2 bolts and gasket, and " Bob's Yer Uncle ". 👍🇬🇧🍺🇺🇲✌️
When Harry gets older he can do some of this stuff for you!!
Good work Harry! And no I won't be switching over to Peppa Pig, couldn't if I wanted to lol
Well done Harry eventually. 😄xx
run it for a few mins then top it up because the level will be low due to filling the filter
Good Wednesday morning to you sir and your family from Wellington Somerset
Harry amazing work learn from your elders wear glove use engine oil is no good for you
It's hard watching someone else doing a job taking ages but you can do it in seconds. I have no patience 🙃
Harry loves fixing things on the farm 🚜 but his gloves are to big. You never know what might arrive in the post tomorrow that could help him out with that problem 🤔
Well done both of you. That washer not only stops the spring going up into the filter but seals the bottom of the filter element so that only filtered oil is pumped around the engine. Work shop tip; when you need a washer or nut from your tray of "handy bits" lay a sheet of polythene or paper on the bench and tip your tray onto it. Spread the contents out and it will be much easier to find what you are looking for and when you have finished looking gather the sheet up and tip it back into the tray
