The offerings turned out so good!! The ceremony on the river was beautiful!! The cafe was so cute! Loved the parade and the tuk tuks are the best parts of the night for Oli! 😉 love it!
It is amazing to see all of the beautiful sights. The respect other countries have for their home. The kidos look like they have grown a mile already 😳. Miss and love you all❤️ww
mmmmmm khao soi, We had some tonight and it was SOO spicy. After we asked them to make the girls noodles, ไม่เผ็ด mai phed, "No Spicy" they asked if we wanted our Khao Soi "no spicy" too. We said "oh no, ours is fine" I think they took it as a personal challenge to put us on our knees😅. Glad you had a great time. Chiang Mai is such an amazing place!!
@@murphysonthego I'm "Ever Curious" and Google it. Did you know the same festival is also held in Sydney, Australia. I sent your mom the website. Very interesting. Your family is very blessed to be experiencing other cultures.
The god of the river named "Jao-Mae-Kong-Ka". We "Loy-Kra-Tong" to "Apologize" to her for being rude and took many advantages from the river and we believed that the bad things and bad luck would floating away with the "Offered Kratong" and people love to wish or beg for good luck or whatever too.
Loy Kratong is a beautiful festival. I can't wait to join it this year.

Yes! The spice levels are so random and we’ve had our share of nose running spice 😅
Beautiful. Is the Festival of Lights like their New Years Celebration? Happy 2023 Murphy family.

Did you learn what God's you made your offerings to?
I’m not sure about a name but it’s to the river/water gods
