I love how the fireflies light up the sky at night time. So beautiful and calming to listen to this and watch this at the same time. I honestly wish I was in Amphibia. 💙😌
Partial spoilers, so be careful here: These songs are hurting me... I just need to see what happens next. I don't know what it is, my girlfriend got me hooked and I watched almost the whole series so far (she had me skip a handful, but we watched a lot of fillers and important episodes up through Season 2 at the time of this) I can't explain it. I have a feeling in my heart, a mix of a void, nostalgia, joy. The show is WAY better than I thought it would be, and not only that, but from an emotional standpoint, the story is basically perfect. Someone stranded and alone, lost, and then fines refuge in a town with strange people, and implies their selfish ways and experiences from previous selfish friends, and learns to not focus on pleasing others, but eventually does the right thing, matures, grows. Then have everything start looking up, learning lessons, and finally finding a friend again, only to have everything go wrong for her all over again. This happens over and over. Anne finds a friend, and then everything goes wrong, and makes a choice. Then feels alone and hurt, but has a family with her through it all. All things in this show, of Anne learning and growing, and maturing and more, makes it gut-wrenching. The only reason I say this is because in the very end, there will be a choice, and a few theories here so bare with me. Anne will have to choose between going home, having a chance of not being able to come back to Amphibia, with two friends with betrayal/that have made up their differences and are now better, OR she stays in Amphibia, leaving her real family for a family that she hardly knew at first, screwed over, hurt, and betrayed, and had stuck with her no matter what. A family that would stay by her side, do anything for her, and she would do anything for them. On Earth Anne couldn't quite make those bonds with her family, but she has in Amphibia with the Planters. SO she either goes back with either trash friends or better friendships, or stays with a new family, has adventure, in a strange world, but one that welcomes her, and helps her to mature out of insecurities, and into better lives. She will have to make the choice, stay or go. And a quick theory (if you are still reading, you deserve a medal), but I think Hop Pop may die before the series ends. He has built trust and lost it, and has been partial conflict, but is still one of the best and wise characters. It would make sense that if anyone was to be offed by the show's end, it would be HP. It would make me cry my eyes out, but if someone is going to be offed, then I am willing to bet it is him. God bless you all and tell me if I went a little overboard (no one else would let me rant, well my gf would but I don't wanna annoy her anymore than I already do).
