I got a blackout for the Goober Readathon!!! I read A LOT!!!!! I ended up getting 137 points. Unfortunately my goal was to read slower this year, but that hasn't happened. I'm on track to bypass my # of books read last year. The only thing I listen to at 1x speed is music and Shows. I normally watch UA-cam videos at 1.5 speed. I listened to audiobooks between 2-3 times speed. I can only listen that fast with headphones on. I had to work up to that speed, it didn't just happen overnight. Also my preferred way of reading is immersion reading.
That’s awesome, way to go with the Blackout! The Goober readathon has been so much fun! Trying to read slower isn’t working very well for me either, haha. 1.5 speed seems like a great speed for YT videos, especially when you have a really long watch-later playlist! 3x speed is impressive, there are only a few books I can listen to faster than 2x speed, mainly Discworld and some contemporary books. I will have to slowly work my way up, it will definitely help with my TBR backlog. Immersion reading is my new favorite thing! I hope you have a great reading month in June as well.
