Nice tutorial Steve. I dred doing valves. I just ride it till it won't start lol. I found if you have to shim them they need replacing anyway. Once they start to move they keep closing up. At least thats with the Hondas anyway
So I have a 2018 rmz 450 and I did the shims and I went to put the cams back in and the cam chain have no slack I really really need help I can’t even get 1 cam in with this chain
Please tell me Can I install Suzuki RMZ450 cylinder head on my Suzuki RMX450Z (2018 model) for more power. Because compression ratio is more in Suzuki RMZ450 Head.
The compression ratio of SUZUKI RMX450Z is 12.2:1 whereas Suzuki RMZ450 is 12.5:1. The more compression in RMZ450 is due to Piston or Cylinder Head's combustion Chamber.
Cool mate at the start I was keen to see ya reshim the valves in a 7 minute video lol. Is it unusual for a Suzuki to not need adjustment after 2000km? I don't think even ktms usually move much in that many ks 😮 depending on maintenance of course
I'm not sure if it is usual for the valves to be out at 2000km but Suzuki recommends that you check them every 2000km but happy they are still in spec.😁
Yeah definitely mate shimming them makes it a lot more of a pain in the ass of a job. I gotta do mine soon lot easier on the 500 apparently being a single cam setup 🤘
I have a RMz 250 and I dropped it..the rubber on the rocker cover bust and when I put my finger in I can feel a light bit of metal that I can move around.. does anyone know what this could be.?

Thanks mate! I could watch you and that pup all day! I plan on checking my own valves now!
Thanks!

Nope. They aren't compatible as the cam chain guide are in different spots. No real options I know of.

@@AmrinderSingh-zx9hr None that I know of. Maybe ask Hot Cams.
What causes a 06 rmz450 to only pop start no kickstart
Is the cam cover gasket reusable? It looks like a new one wouldn't be required if it's in good shape and your careful with disassembly. Thanks.
Yes can be reused
Is that the same specs for a 2016 rm450 valve clearance
I'm not sure about RMZ
Can anyone help me my rmx 450z 2017 sounds really bad and dies if you don’t rev it

Probably a stupid question but how you remove the cover to be able to turn the motor by hand? Is it really just a huge alan key like it appears to be?
Yeah it's that huge Alan key.
@@BrokenSprocket mine is stupid tight hey I legit cannot get it out im stipping the hole for the Alan key trying. Any ideas haha
Hi please you are a manual ? Please 🥺🥺
Nice one

He didn’t go through any of the details of where there was a shim under or shim over or if was a solid Tappet lifter , no info…
