This video was very helpful. My lower back becomes sore and fatigue during workout, sometimes even while walking or doing chores around the house, and I think it is because my core is not strong.
I live on a farm, and have to tote around 50 pound bags of feed. I'm not sure the distance from the car to the feed room, but I heft those up in front of me, using my hips and arms to lift from the back of the car, then brace my entire core, keeping good posture, and walk them to the feed room. When I put them down, I bend at the knee and hip to lower them down - if I just throw them down, I risk breaking the bag, so I have to do it with control. I also live, literally, on a mountain - I have to hike up and down with fencing materials, sometimes needing crampons to keep from sliding down the hill. I pound in T-posts, string wire, and cut down trees and brush. What I'd love to see are exercises that build on what I have to do all the time. No, I don't consider myself fit (I'm late 50's) but I AM functional. There is definitely room for improvement, probably in my diet the most - I need to work harder on getting the gardens to produce more of my own food as I build my chicken flock and goat herd up enough to provide my own meat - rabbits are definitely in the future, but right now, I need to focus on getting my home built!
OMG your videos are so much more entertaining and easier to understand that the ones NASM provides!!! lol Also, love how you're watching Taylor Woods in one of the clips!!

That could absolutely be a cause!

Thank you for the info. What do you think of core sliders? Would you recommend using them?
Like, gliders? I think they're fine! Great way to change things up.
