I don't meant to nitpick, but I've noticed a common aspect of digital art is how effortless it is to create hard edges and drop shadows. With a painterly piece like this, I feel like the edges can be a little too hard. Of course, digital paint can be 100% opaque in a way that real media can't, and it's such a relief not to have to paint layer on later to get a proper contrast. But I often find something is lost as well. It's nice to see the brushstrokes in a painterly work like this, but what I'm seeing just as much is the select tool, and I'm not sure it's the effect you want. I feel like a little more rich softness receding into the black through layers of brushstrokes might have a nice effect. Beautiful work, though.
I don't think about it too much, I just make things I have fun with :) Sometimes I don't have a 100% precise idea of what the result of a stroke is going to look like (and even in traditional, except that in trad I can't ctrl+z XD but I like trying things out and there's often a possibility of correcting afterwards, especially with opaque mediums like gouache, and especially acrylic or oil, etc.). and if ever the error is too difficult to rectify, no problem, I accept and move on ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ). As for the edges being too hard, I know what you mean, but I don't think it's a question of medium. If you use a painting knife, you can get very sharp edges in traditional painting too, really sharp, depending on the surface too, but of course in digital it's perhaps more obvious because there's no notion of “surface” and “matter” :) Thank you! :)

why make these transitions like at 2:05
Because, as mentioned in the title and description, it's a preview (next time I'll mention it directly in the video, I totally understand that people don't always read either the title or the description, which can be confusing 🥲)
You can watch the full timelapse video (Clip Stdio record feature) on my Twitter (twitter.com/sebijy1) or the full video process (normal speed, screen recorded) on Patreon :)
Rest of the fuckin owl lool
I understand :)
It's a preview, you can watch the full timelapse video (Clip Stdio record feature) on my Twitter (twitter.com/sebijy1) or the full video process (normal speed, screen recorded) on Patreon :)
so dissapointed that you skipped a lot of process
I understand, but as mentionned in the title, it's a preview, the full process is on my Patreon (and will be added on Gumroad too) 🙏

Babygirl u gotta pay for the rest…..
It’s well worth the $8 for the whole thing :)
please don't cut the process🙏❤❤
I understand 🥺,
but, as mentionnd in the title and the description, it's a preview. The full process (normal speed, unedited) is on Patreon (membership or shop and soon on Gumroad)
