I’ve been wanting to get Trent for the last 3 weeks but struggled because of his price, and I finally got him in this week for cash and now have a back 3 of trippier Trent porro which is expensive but I think is the best possible Defence especially when all the other defenders are doing poorly. Up to 50k overall rank so far this week with 40 points.
TAA, Trippier, Porro, and Gabriel plus Taylor is my defense now. I think the first three offer so much attacking potential plus a slight chance at a clean sheet.
I'm sticking with the plan to bring Haaland back for GW16. Everything is set up to do it. Got the money ITB (6.5M) to replace Darwin (minutes risk) with Haaland.

Mbeumo, whether he's fit or not I'm goin to sell him for Gordon (If Fit). I honestly don't think he plays so soon after a rolled ankle like what i saw. Palmer is another option but so many people have him that my rank will go nowhere if I choose him.
Since my GW8 wildcard have risen from 1.5mil to 73k. Made a massive -4 in GW10 which got me Haaland, Salah, Watkins, Saka, Son and Trippier and having all 6 of these guys has finally starting paying off! Had to bring in Palmer and Hwang which I thought would limit me a bit but they’ve both been flying!
Ooooo I have the same team but with Gordon and Hwang ! In place of Palmer and Hwang ! I feel this is a team I can keep till gw 38 it looks so good on paper and all of them are finally performing.
As cleansheets are so rare now, unless you have a very attacking defender like Tripper or Trent, I think there are more points to gain via the midfield/forwards with your transfers. As a transfer is worth 4 points would you rather use it in a defender when clean sheets are rare? Or an attacker where goals are popular.

What to do with players that are on a lower price compared to their current price value, hence sell them but then need to find more money to bring them back in. I also transferred Reece James in for the Newcastle fixture (first season playing fpl so i've not been burnt by him previously) and the only positives are that despite being far from his best, hes still getting into dangerous positions offensively and Chelseas fixtures are so good going forward. I think you should bite the bullet and keep him, although I fully understand the frustration particularly with the red card...
Do you think it's worth changing to Dubravka and Kelleher even if it is with a - 4? Currently Turner and Areola aren't really doing much for the score anyway.
Just a little opinion, Ross. I think the major problem you've encountered recently hasn't been not owning Haaland, but rather not doubling down on not owning him. For example, I think you typically let go of Alvarez (for a Semenyo/Mubama weeks ago) and then gotten a Trent for instance. I've followed you for a while and you're more attacking with your decisions, and i think that hasn't been the case recently because of the prospect of getting Haaland back. I'm glad you're backing the long-term without Haaland option. I think you should commit fully to it.

Surprised Hwang isn't in your thinking. On form, playing up top and scoring. I have brought him in for Mbeumo who looked seriously crocked and think Hwang's price will rise soon. I already have Gordon and Palmer, (Plus Son and Salah) in midfield.

I'm currently on 35 points this GW with two players left(Bowen & Trippier) & even though it's resulted in green arrows across all my mini leagues I'm left feeling a little disappointed because I had a choice between Salah & Hwang for captaincy...ended up ignoring Hwang who had a double digit haul. Would've been a great differential pick for captaincy.
Martinelli is perfectly fine to keep and play this week, I feel you're overrating Villa based on that rubbish City display. They played a midfield of John Stones and Akanji.
The only transfer you should make is replacing Mbeumo. Your defence is good for this GW. I don't know why you want to make transfer on defence this GW when you have 3 good playable defenders and there's no good defenders.
I watched the Wolves v Burnley game- Wolves attack looked lackluster at best and the Hwang goal wasn't the cleanest in the world. Wolves attack suffers greatly without Neto(who is close to being back, but not yet). That being said, I am a Hwang owner, was planning to sell for Palmer for GW17, but with the Mbeumo injury I may have to sell Mbeumo for Palmer instead and would be happy keeping Hwang for another few weeks

For us that have 8 very good attackers, i think Mbeumo out is potentially food vs those with Haaland who have a Archer.
