This song just made me realize how lucky I am to have my father by my side, even tho mom passed almost 10 years ago(she was murdered) , he stood by me and my 3 brothers side no matter what.

Never take you're family for granted especially you're parents, I lost my father when I was 13 and our last conversation end in me saying I hated him and that's something I still can't get over and I'm nearly 21 I love my father and if I had a chance to turn back time I'd do it in a heart beat.

On 3/21/20 I was nearly murdered after being by attacked from behind with a metal bar on my neck. As I fought the attacker and went in and out of consciousness, a last conscious thought came to me. I thought of my wife and pregnant daughter.
I won that fight (great story to that 😉) and played this song nonstop for days. I wanted to remember the feeling. I’ve let it go as I battle with alcoholism and addiction but I’m getting close to the dad I need to be. This son will always make me cry tears of joy.
Please everyone: never forget what makes you happy. Never forget your family. Learn from me and don’t wait until deaths ringing your doorbell before you decide to be a better father and husband.

I’m blessed to still have my father, but this song.. oh man.. A lot of things have happened in my life and my father wasn’t alway involved in the things that happened around me, because my parents split up when I was only young - but he came and saved me (and my mother and brother) when everything was falling apart. He came to dance with me.
My dad passed away in 2016 my mom passed away in 2021 it breaks my heart to know I lost both of my parents but it feels my soul to know she get be with him again they're happy and she get to dance with him again even though it's literally tearing me apart to know that I can't pain doesn't heal you just managed to get through it

I was engaged in 2013 the year my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer we put the wedding plans on hold as I helped to care for him he lived 27 months More than any Dr ever expected After his passing I just couldn't imagine walking down the aisle without him he truly was one of those amazing souls.... Fast forward to Jan 2018 My fiancee reproposed I said yes we planned the perfect wedding we memorialized dad in our ceremony and I tell you what I know he was with me every step of the way.... I lost my dad when my daughter was two years old, I have a picture of him holding her when she was 8 months old, the smile on his face and the smile on her face is priceless. My daughter lost her daddy at the tender age of 11 years old, it was traumatic for her, my son and me, he will not be there for the daughter, father dance on her wedding day, he was the best dad for my kids and we carry those sweet memories in our hearts until we can see him again in the resurrection. you sang that song so beautifully. I have always loved that song, now it has more meaning to me now that my dad is gone and my kids daddy is gone.:)

Seeing my friends with their dads, having children and see their dads, it all was like reopening old scars. You sing this so beautifully I could listen to you for hours!
