From the way the video is set up, it also clearly show that the hospital wants to shield a lot of what is really going on when a kid has surgery. The video tells more about the thinking and psychology of the staff running the hospitakl than what it pretends to tell about.

It is meant to familiarize families and patients with what to expect but, had the surgery been real, the IV cannula wouldn't have been visible because it would have been hidden by the vein into which it was ACTUALLY inserted. You wouldn't be able to see the "straw" part, as they call t for kids sometimes. Nothing about an infomercial says whatever it promotes isn't excellent whether it is or not. It's just what it says, "INFO." No biggie.
