“Let’s go get a middle school named after us” I think that is the most realistic thing ever said in a war movie.
Never seen such a classic tactical move by any army units in any movies so far.
Leaving. 50 gun without any guard, crowding like a bunch of cheer leaders, so that a single IED or RPG can finish all of them with single shot.
Solid tacticians at work right here.
I was thinking the same, you go back to your vic's and the enemy's either waiting behind the 50 or the vic's would be boobytraped.
Did they actually hire any former soldiers from in theater for technical advice?
The instant I saw them bunching up like that, I cringed. I'm no military man, but damn if I was an insurgent, I would dream for a moment like that to toss my grenade.
More then likely, this is a movie for civilians. They might not pick up stuff like that.
@@aceriley4740 This movie is by and for Hollywood cucks.
One word: Spacing.
Yeah you tell em high speed know it all
No 5s-25s ......better just empty the Vics no need to keep an eye on them...those 50’s wouldn’t help anyway
This is what happens when you forget to bring the wide angle lens.
*enemy is actively flanking friendly troops and within 20m*
*those friendlies are ready decisively engaged*
*guy is making a ten hour plan and letting the enemy keep creeping up.*
This scene is comically cheesey
man this takes the cake for cheesy bad military movie lmao you want a grunt to laugh his way out the theater and down the street show him this lmao!
I love you jarheads
Idk nothing really wrong besides all of them getting out the trucks. Guess we will give Haji a 50cal and a car that likes to break down.
I told my bro’s I loved them all them time.
Me, I love you too Sarge, but maybe next time, dinner an a movie first??
Hard disagree man. 11B here. One of the few movies I felt I could actually relate to.
I laughed so hard when vin diesel said i love you to his men
I love it so much. Because, SSG Breem (vin diesel) is built like a meathead, but as the movie progresses you find out he's a really nice guy whose hindu beliefs make him relatively unaggressive. It's actually SGT Dime whose the stereotypical roughneck sergeant. And they actually play off one another really well.

Acogs are such pointless pos
@@johnrobinson1762 they're good at what they do, have you used one guy?
@@johnrobinson1762 i liked them! Had no problems with them
I'm just saying.. 1 grenade, 1 rpg, 1 IED and its game over.
This Sargeant takes forever to get do anything.
Looks more like a rehearsal than a movie.
So they dismount from the vehicles & walk up to the staging area then chamber a round in their M4’s? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot! Good Day Everyone!
And they got the 101st screaming eagle but then have the bloody first patch on wtf
Aww he said he loves them now that was sweet
Reverse Speech "I Love You"
"We will die"
Every ones uniform is brand spanking new, everyone's wearing wool gloves, dude I could go on. And oh yeah apparently in movie world you can't hear gunshots if you're around the corner of a small building.
Saw this movie twice in theater at 4K 120fps.
It's terribly sad that it wasn't seen that way by everyone else.
I really wanted to see it that way but no theater around me was playing it at 120fps :(
Why did the gunner get off the .50?
Hollywood told him to do so
Nobody:
Drill Srgt: What is your name pri!
Vin Diesel: I Am Groot.
Drill Srgt: What!
Private: I Am Groot, Drill Srgt!
Sergeant wouldn’t say you ladies and have all that pep talk by the time they were actually in combat.
I'm headed to the army soon and I hope I get the guy in charge to act like this, but I'll also be like him when i move up in ranks
Position 1... 1 mortar blow or RPG blow 5 killed. Position 2... Top roof 2 enemy in your back, not checked 8 killed. Ladder still in position....
"watch ur corners guys" 10 seconds later, everyone s pointing their gun at one corner although its a relitively open area
Is it just me or are they not knowing they have the class a dress patch on there battle uniform just saying never had it on my battle dress
Good question. The 1st ID all wore the Big Red 1 on their DCUs. I know that must be an exception to policy and only in country. Camp Speicher, 2004[Tikrit]
I love you too Sargent
Sheesh they look clean
I love lamp.
Very nice
Every call of duty lobby I’ll start quoting the Sargent, I’ll get mixed responses too.
As a combat veteran who went to Iraq of March 2008 to March 2009 with first brigade 4th infantry division, I haven’t watched this movie yet. It was two years after the Army transition from BDUs to the ugly gray ACUs.
This is so emotional, it’s what real captains say.
لعراق تاج فوك كل راس امريكي
Why did Vin Diesel have a 1st Infantry Division patch as well as a 101st Airborne patch?
the patch on your right shoulder is your deployment patch. the patch on your right shoulder is your current patch. that means he had already deployed with the 101st, and is now currently in the 1st ID
Andrew yes. Every 3 years (usually) you either re enlist or get out. If you re enlist you can switch units or stay at you’re current one
Nolan Johnson thanks!!!

99% of these actors never served in the military and it shows folks.

most accurate part of the movie ...
Yea yea, let's go get a middle school named after us 🤣 didn't see that line coming
They got the uniforms so wrong lol
how? Aside from them being WAY too new looking, I'd say they were pretty much 2004 Iraq (when I was there).
@joey duckett Yup. That's what they had. It was what was available at Ft. Benning when we went over. It got replaced over time, but hell - they were still sending soft-skin hmmwvs over in 2004.
@joey duckett Yes. That what they issued guys for the first few years because they did not have IBAs in desert yet.
@joey duckett thats what they wore into Iraq and Afghanistan in the early GWOT
@Mad Man Early 2001-2004 was like this, mismatched gear was the signature look of American troops in the Middle East during that time period
1st infantry division and 82 airborne patch means re enlistment right and why did the gunner get out of the humvee he is supposed to stay with the 50 cal
The winners of the history of war write.
Who the hell says I love you before the battle? Hahaha!
Vuelale la cabeza al Kennedy! Se un patriota

They're so bunched up lol
The insurgent creepin up on the Americans was a fuckin tortoise lol
My dad saw this movie and said it was really good. And sad. BECUASE civilians think that when soldiers save the lives of their brothers they are heroes, but they don't see themselves that way they just see themselves as not wanting to see somebody they care for die
Am I the only one that can't get past the shitty collapsible butstocks they're running? Who is their supply sergeant?
Isn't Vin Diesel a little bit incredibly old to be playing a sergeant in the US army?
I mean you could say that for every movie set in a high school
When I deployed in 2004, my Army Reserve unit had at least Viet Nam vets all over 50 - they were E-7s and E-8s.
@@aceriley4740 that's a reserve unit, in my experience, reservists tend to be older than regulars. And E7 - E8, not a problem, but I think that he's supposed to be an E5.
@@WrathOfGrapesN7 Thank you for the observation - agreed. Yeah, Vin is too old/mature[about 50 in this movie] to play an E-5[24 - 25?]. But TV/movies do this all the time- at the Company level few are over 35.
si.
I didnt even finish the clip. That actor aint a 10th of a 1ID trooper. Sorry. I served.
You can clearly see and hear how empty the AT4's are.

Wait! Are these guys 1st Infantry or 101st Airborne? Why does Sarge have both a 1st Infantry patch and 101st Airborne patch? Is this actually thing? Sorry I'm not in the military but I like to think I know more than most civilians. But I've never seen a soldier with two unit patches
the patch on the right shoulder means that it's the previous unit a soldier served with on deployment, before he went into his current unit (that being the 1st infantry)

Why they touch the wall? What tactical purpose does it serve?
Just to make sure that it will not crumble under a little weight.
To easily halt their advancement. Also to prevent fall if they attempt to stop with your feet but their body weight shifts forward.

I am not going to be that guy,but how come the sergeant have both the 101st Airborne and 1st Inf Div (Big Red One) patches on both of his shoulder while everyone else only have the patches and emblems of the 1st Inf Div?
Tran Mikey That was probably the Sergeant* last unit before he was transferred
One patch is combat patch of previous combat tour and other patch is currently serving unit
In the Army, you were a deployment patch on the right side (if you've deployed to a combat zone) and the current unit patch on the right. All of the younger soldiers depicted here are currently serving in 1st ID and therefore have a current unit 1st ID patch and a deployment patch, likely for the current deployment.
The Sergeant probably also deployed previously with a 101st Airborne and thus has a choice of which deployment patch he would like to wear.
Tran Mikey right side is your deployment patch which means he's deployed with the 101st prior. Right side is the div you're currently serving with, meaning that he's been in longer and deployed before where as the younger guys have never deployed with anyone other than 1st ID and that's also who they're serving under currently
Why the nice colorful big red one and not the battle dress subdued unit patch
Nalt God be upon you
0:50 Camel back in empty,,, PCI FAIL.
لعبو بيكم لعب بلموصل وانبار وبغداد والعراق كله
Why is an 101st NCO leading 1st Infantry?
It simply means he was previously in combat with the 101st. The patch on your left shoulder is your current unit. If you served with a unit in combat the patch is worn on the right shoulder.
❤️
