- From Schubert's rich and varied oeuvre, Alexandre Tharaud has extracted the captivating incidental music composed for the play Rosamunde and created original piano transcriptions of four excerpts. Discover them on his all-Schubert album: w.lnk.to/atsLY
Rosamunde Princess of Cyprus was a play by Helmina von Chézy that premiered in December 1823, featuring incidental music written by Schubert. In addition to these piano transcriptions that Alexandre has made from moments of this music, his Schubert program also features all four of the D899 Impromptus, written in 1827, and the six Moments musicaux, first published in 1828.

I so admire what Alexandre has done with his transcription! I first heard Schubert's Rosamunde music in my early teens and it enchanted me: what enticing rhythms, melodic lines and harmonies. Alexandre's performance is so fine. Thank you!
Le temps s’arrête, c’est tout simplement superbe.
Merci Alexandre.

Ich bin schon sein tager verliebt in rosamunde
Marvelous interpretation of Schubert my dear Alexandre, it's always a great pleasure to see you and listen to your music.
Many thanks, "Warner Classics", for the post.
Thank you for the wonderful music !!!
To say it’s fabulous would be the understatement. Perfect video! Thank you.
This is so beautiful. It’s touching my soul 🤍🥺
Meu deus... Que coisa linda!
Like a dream. In dreams, things happen.
Superbe transcription. Les couleurs sont toutes respectées et la mélancolie qui se dégage est intacte, voire supérieure... La seconde partie à 1:05 est très réussie!
Est-ce qu'il est possible d'avoir une partition?
cool

Where can I find the sheet music please???
If you don't know the original version, it is nice. Surely a good pianist but it spoils Schubert on some spots (missing bar, missing contrast on the best spot - 2:23 - due to puzzled spots with full sound and soft sound).
🙏 If possible , Could you post more videos of JJ ORLIŃSKI ? 🙏

2:18 très Mendelssohn
Wonderful performance. However, the manner in which this was filmed was absurd. Common sense tells us that the music is the main focus, not fancy camera and lighting techniques. This performance was sabotaged by an egotistical director who placed himself above the music and the musician.
This is a promotion for the recording of the music by Warner Classics, not a film of the performance.
I'm guessing you've never seen a music video in your life
