UPDATE init patch: Some people said the init patch is different for them: It could be that this precise "init" patch only loads up when you load Diva fresh from your plugins to a midi track. Instead, when you reset to init in Diva itself it might load up a different init patch. Also, someone else said: "So for me, I had to load the AU version of the plugin to get the right initial patch. The VST init sounded different."
I just bought DIVA, and can confirm that this is still the patch that Diva opens with (clap, Vst3) Also, you just taught me what the 'Lag' knob does. So, thanks :)
The melody and the patch really go together well. I just got diva after using serum mostly (along with the synths native to Bitwig), and I think diva does have a sound that's a little special. Sometimes, you need that one special screwdriver; sometimes you need that one special synth. Thanks!
Very melodic - it's beautiful and I wouldn't use it because it's so specific. I don't want my music to be tracked down so easily. Like when you hear songs from the past that had a classic synth sound and they end up sounding dated in 5 -7 years.

Well, you just sold me to this. Kept coming back and was like fuck it. Thank you so much! This is actually very useful, and will save these as diva presets. Really like the sounds.
When I load up "init" by rightclicking that center window where the name of the patch is written, the sound I get is nothing like the sound you play. How do I get the starting patch in the video?
Great Video, but I don't get that INIT Patch when staring DIVA? Maybe because I have a newer Version of DIVA? Tested the Sets in the TEMPLATE Folder in DIVA but they all are not that Patch that is described as INIT Patch in this video... I have even tried to build it myself like it is explained in the Video but it doesn't sound like in the Video at all.. Does anyone have a tip how I can get that INIT Patch from the video? Thx in advance!
Hey, this question has come up before, I've addressed this in a video on my channel called "Ableton Analog and Serum can sound like Diva? Melodic House Sound Design" - simply search for it and watch around minute 1:00 and it will all make sense.
@@francoispml Perfect! Thx a lot! Quit confusing done by DIVA :-) Here is the Link to the Video, where you explain that, in case someone has the same question: ua-cam.com/video/Wp2--kMuapc/v-deo.html
How were you able to get the melody? Is there an easy way of getting the melody patch and just instantly create one for whichever chord pads you had done?
I wrote the melody quickly with the mouse, just before recording the video. You can try to use the arpeggiator midi effect in Ableton Live, if you want to quickly generate a "melody" from a chord progression.
Hey François ! I'm trying to understand your sentence but can't really figure out what you say on second 0:22 : "This is the XXX patch from Diva " --> Which Patch ?

This sound can be used as starting point for Pads, Leads, Bass and Pluck sounds, its extremely useful.
Such a beautiful chord progression and tone. Thank you all for this education!

epic sounding melody, how did u suddenly turn the chords into a lead pattern? I wonder if this is possible also in logic

When I tried that happened for me also. I can’t recall if I dragged a new instance over. Will try that. Thanks for the update.

Hi! May we know what is on your master chain please? :) Thank you.
Does someone know how to make this sound in Serum ? Or knows an simular sound?

You need to load Diva in standalone mode to get the init patch he is referring to. If you load Diva over Kontakt, you will get a different init-Patch.
quite impressive
Dope
very nice!
This song is fire. Wtf
Could someone tell me how he saved his melody and bass etc to load in right away? Would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Press Ctrl - Shift - E to save MIDI. The bass is taken from the initial patch in Diva

@@thesounddesignchannel also, Cthulhu is a great arpeggiator if you're looking for something more than the one built in to your DAW.

I got it ! THanks :)
"init patch"
amazing as always! What song these chords were from? I am thinking to remember very familiar!!!
Thanks! The chords are inspired by "Lane 8 - And we knew it was our time"
where is that diva init patch
