How to Improve Your Solos With Etudes

In this video, I talk about the importance of writing out your own Etudes as a way to master a soloing concept, as well as a way to truly understand the form of the song you're attempting to improvise over. In this case, I wrote out two etudes for the song Giant Steps One Etude utilizes 1,2,3,5 note patterns over each chord, while the other strictly utilizes arpeggios to solo over the changes. The final etude combines both of these concepts into a culminating solo.
