I want a non mtronic 661.. I have the 461 362 and 291....I'm alittle obsessed

I love my Ms 661c ! I put a straight shot (pretty dang loud, don't run it without ear plugs) and an air filter kit! Props to Egan for both! It's a ripper for sure nothing wrong with a bark box or max flow either! The m-tronic carb has been flawless, a little cold blooded at first but after the first cut, it's on!
Crazy how much prices have jumped. Got mine 3 days ago and it was 1600. Only one they had and it just came in off of backorder.
661 is a fantastic saw out of the box!

Finally pulled the trigger for 1200 when a “job landed on me. Your review was what made me finally pull the trigger at 1200. 32” bar. Have been using it heavy for about 3 months now. I love it. Great saw, great review and technical videos, this was really good! Thank u brother

Thanks for the review. My big saw is a 361 and I have been looking at buying a bigger one to add to the collection. I love the 361, but sometimes it would be nice to have a little more power
No problem. It was definitely worth purchasing so far
I put a full wrap and large felling dogs on my 361
Run it with a 25” bar and it cuts like a champ

Where are they making the head? Germany?
Im not sure. On all the pro saws they have a tag on them that says made in germany but not sure if they are making the head there or not.

@@4MRanch thanks for the reply I have the "R" model of 661 magnum and been searching for content on the saw, hard to find anyone using the manual carb version, got my hopes up is all.

Yeah, the only one that they offered that was still a manual carburetor was an 880 when I bought this saw but I think the 881 is a mtronic version as well now. Thanks for watching.

I got the 261c for my very first saw. Knew I wanted a chainsaw for a long long time and never made the purchase. Tons of research and lots of looking around, finally dug into the 261.
Been over a year now, well over, and now I'm wanting the 661c!
Already got the green light from the ol lady!
261 is a great saw To have specially for limbs an smaller trees it blows right through them.
Better get a 661 while your allowed lol. It has gone up in price so that sucks.
