I worked in insurance, the payout goes to the beneficiary, who doesn't have to be the premium payer. The life insurance policy is for the dependants, not the policy holder.

Yeah killing your spouse for money is a huge thing in the USA.. I personally don't get it.. the spouse is always the 1st suspect and they always get caught eventually.. they don't even get to spend the money they killed for..it's just not worth life in prison or the death penalty.. it's just stupid.. maybe it's cause I'm too pretty for jail and I wouldn't last a day in prison.
