Great interview Ross. I am a lifelong Steeler fan living in Portland, OR. [Born & raised in the 'Burgh.]. If I wanted to see all the Steeler games, I had no choice but to purchase Sunday Ticket. I would kind of joke that I was getting extorted every year because I had no other option. My complaint was that there was not a cheaper option where I would only get Steeler games. I would have happily paid for that. Side note: Directv F'ing sucked. Probably one of the worst companies I've ever had to deal with. My 2 cents on the whole thing.

But that's the whole point of the suit they didn't want a cheaper option....they want you to watch the CBS and FOX local games so you watch the local ads....the more people that have ST or a team option the less that happens.

It has nothing to do with personal responsibility Ross. The league and their Sunday Ticket partner advertise that if you live in a different city you can still watch your team with Sunday Ticket. While that is true the vast majority of people get Sunday Ticket to watch their team and really don’t care about the other games so why not sell team packages rather than all of nothing.

Mine is 385.00 but the way I see it ( going out to the restaurant with wings , burgers and beers 2 times covers that so I am good with it ) I am just glad it’s not direct tv they we’re horrible in my opinion

My husband is a Dallas Cowboy fan living in Maryland. I am a Steeler fan. We have paid for Sunday Ticket since its inception. But the price is ridiculous! I will watch games with my “friend’s” jailbroke fire stick. We will save $449!

Ross, I thought your skepticism about the lawyers' motives was right on point. America is the land of the free but also the land of massive frivolous litigations. What a country. I would love to get some of my Direct TV Sunday Ticket premium back, but I get the feeling that the lawyers will get most of it. I might get $10 dollars if I am willing to deal with the hassle. What a joke.

Sunday Ticket was too expensive for me to justify buying it. So I settled for whatever crumby Giants/Jets games were forced on us in the NY/NJ area on free TV. Or I just did yard work or I did stuff w/family and friends. So the NFL's pricing approach was effective. Forced me to watch the CBS/FOX games. I'm glad Sunday Ticket was expensive. Saved me $$$ and allowed me to be more productive with my Sunday afternoons.

      a) you could have gotten redzone b) you messed out on betting opportunities.
